"Mike quoted the needed repairs. I accepted his quote, and gave the OK to start work. At the end of the first day, Mike came to me and said he missed some rotted wood on the project and that if I wanted it fix it would be an extra $350.00 plus the cost of the additional supplies. This put the project way over budget, and higher than several other offers. All three days of work, Mike showed up late. He texted me the first day saying he needed to drop his son off at school. Fine, but to show up between 10:00am - 10:30am is bad business especially after sending me a text saying you had no other obligations and was going to show up at 8:00am. And worst of all called and texted me with his personal number to avoid Angi list checking on the project. My wife and I are upset with the whole project. Prior to Mike completing his project, he was asked to look at the sill plate on the sun porch. He He attempted to look at it and said he would need to remove a lower panel to get in order to inspect it properly and quote the price. He stated that he would have to leave ok at it the next day when he had his tools with. He never quoted us the sill plate price or removed the lower panel for inspection services."

"WOW --Daniel was truly AMAZING! Our AC went out right before a heatwave. I called a couple of HVAC companies and even got 2 estimates for a few thousands of dollars. We were told that we needed to replace the AC condenser along with other things in order for AC to work again. Found TBD Heating and Cooling via Angi and they sent a technician within hours. Daniel was incredibly professional, explained the issue clearly and had our AC working within minutes!! He was very good at explaining the issue that was actually minor --bad wiring that caused overloading of freon. "Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. Sutton Roofing & Siding was started in 1946 by Edsel & Mayme Sutton in Springfield Illinois. Edsel sold the work and Mayme ran the business. They had an installer and focused solely on Roofing and Siding. In those days, there were only a handful of colors to offer customers. The Sutton’s prided themselves on using the highest quality materials and installation available. Then, they put their name on it and offered a guarantee. A handful of the projects they did in those early days can still be seen on homes in the older areas of Springfield today. In the late 1970's, Douglas Sutton moved back to Springfield and took over the family business for his parents, Edsel and Mayme. He changed the name to reflect the expanded remodeling services. The new name was Sutton Siding & Remodeling, Inc. A marketing partner of Doug's was responsible for one of the most successful marketing campaigns in Springfield. Sutton Siding & Remodeling adopted the slogan, ""You call us, we don't call you."" That is because some key competitors at the time were dialing for dollars every evening and on weekends bothering people for appointments. The slogan worked and separated Sutton's from the vultures lurking on the phone. People still refer to that slogan today and refer to Sutton’s as simply “Sutton Siding.” Fast forward to 1995 and Douglas Sutton Jr, along with his brother Michael Sutton, took over the family business. Eventually, the duo decided to change the name to simply ""Sutton's."" Climbing ladders to hammer Loose facia, fixing a window that was cracked, fixing a screen in a storm door thats on s roller(used to just pop the screen in and out). Little things mean a lot to keep your home updated and looking good. Curb appeal makes a difference. That being said we want to give a big five star rating to Sutton’s for being there to get all this things done for us. We are so happy with the job they did. Everything looks great. Love our new screen door, is so nice to not have duct tape holding the screen together. We can’t thank you enough. Great service from a great company. Shout out to Adam and all the other workers, job well done."
