Small jobs welcome

"Animal tracker did a great job tackling the problem of squirrels that had moved into my attic. They responded right away and went to work the same day. I would not hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to my friends."

"The rep came out as promised, and gave us a quote on the spot- about $1000. He filled in the three woodpecker holes, and removed my messy attempts to eradicate the bird. He then added several "toys" to keep the bird away- an owl face with metallic streamers, and four little bicycle reflectors to confuse it. Finally, he set up a speaker that broadcasts timed recordings of bird distress calls and predator bird calls. He came back a week later and painted the repairs, using paint we gave him. Final report- we have not seen the woodpecker since. Nice job!"

Customers say: Quality work

"Suspected something living under my house, and did not know if animal was attracting neighborhood coyote. Was surprised to find a pup litter of coyote babies under my house. When I called John he offered to come that Sat., but would be cheaper to come on Monday. Chose to wait. He came as expected, took care of the problem, left a cage for unfinished business, and came back a week later to remove the cage. He was very pleasant and advised me of cost upfront. Said many companies charge per animal removed, he did not charge like that. It was a flat rate. 7 babies would have been very expensive! There was a trip charge and a removal charge. Very pleased with service."

"I recently had Tier 1 Exterminators come out for a treatment, and I couldn?t be more impressed. From the first call to the completed service, everything was handled with precision and professionalism. Charlie arrived right on time, performed a full inspection around my home, and clearly explained what he found before starting any work. The treatment itself was thorough ? every area of concern was addressed, and the products used were professional-grade and safe for my family. What stood out most was how organized and efficient the entire process was. Tier 1 clearly takes pride in their work and doesn?t cut corners. It?s rare to find a company that operates at this level of detail and care. I now have full confidence that my home is protected. I?ll be using Tier 1 Exterminators for all my pest control needs going forward."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Certain strong smells may help repel bats, though this is not a foolproof method and is best used in conjunction with other deterrence strategies. Scents like peppermint oil, eucalyptus, cinnamon, cloves, and mint are often suggested as natural remedies. To create a spray, you can mix two cups of warm water with half a cup of sugar and a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Apply this mixture using a spray bottle to possible entry points and throughout the affected area, such as an attic. While this home remedy is popular, evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.

Yes, in some cases if your damper is left open, animals can come down your chimney. In these instances, it’s more likely that they have fallen in while looking for a safe spot rather than entered your house intentionally. Leaving your damper closed or installing a chimney cap can prevent animals from coming inside.

Yes, it’s possible for bats in your attic to find a way into your living spaces. Until you can properly remove the bats, the best course of action is to keep the attic doors closed and any holes sealed. Evidence suggests bats follow the airflow in your home, so they may try escaping from the attic to other parts of the house.

Vinegar can keep some animals at bay, like deer, rabbits, foxes, and raccoons. Keep in mind that your household pets, like cats and dogs, also don’t like the smell of vinegar. You can soak rags in white vinegar and put them up around your garden beds to keep the pesky critters from eating your plants.
