"Jared installed a gazebo in our backyard in Rigby and he did fantastic job! He informed us how everything would work, he worked very fast and was pleasant to chat with, and the finished gazebo looks awesome! (just how I wanted it) I’ve worked with home service guys and contractors in the past and they always seem to be a little rough around the edges but Jared was not this way at all. He was incredibly professional and we even became close friends by the end of the job! I would highly recommend Jared for any construction or contracting work!"

You should stain your home's cedar siding every three to seven years for maximum protection and to maintain its appearance. Homeowners who live in harsh climates with high humidity and lots of direct sunlight should plan staining every three years, while those who live in milder locations can plan on seven. In particularly harsh climates, consider using an opaque stain variety for the longest-lasting protection.

Siding lasts for between 20 and 40 years, at a minimum, but the lifespan you’ll see from your new siding depends on the type. Vinyl and aluminum siding have average lifespans of 20 to 40 years, while wood and real stone siding can last up to 75 years. Steel and fiber cement siding can last even longer and often have a minimum lifespan of 50 years. The climate and weather in your area play important roles in siding lifespan.

The telltale signs that your home is ready for repointing include visibly damaged bricks, crumbling bricks, flaking bricks, loose mortar, cracked mortar, gaps between brick and mortar, leaking inside your home, and visible water damage. Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

That said, composite siding is not entirely immune from moisture damage. It should still be properly installed so that moisture can properly drain from behind the siding, and protected by eaves and clean gutter so the siding doesn’t get repeatedly soaked by rain, which could lead to damage.
