CCX Roofing

We had a small but difficult flat roof that was in very bad shape, and we could not find anyone with the skill who could or would take on this job. CCX was recommended to us, and they responded quickly with politeness and friendliness. They definitely have the ability to do all kinds of roofing and do it well. Remington and the office staff are lovely people. Their team worked us into their schedule and saved our historic, old building!

I will try to keep this short but it has been a long, drawn out, miserable experience working with CCX and their various "project managers." We began trying to get a company to bid shutters for our old 1934 home. A salesman was sent and we received a bid in June of 2023. We were informed of the options of shutters, quality, etc. and given a bid. Right away we noticed they had counted too many shutters, so the bid was inaccurate. Also, the bid was a handwritten bid. We reported the error but decided this was the company to go with. Once we committed, they were in Idaho Falls ready to receive 1/2 down payment. We paid and immediately the communication was via text and we were told the shutters wouldn't be scheduled to be put on the house until the first of November. I asked for a receipt on the payment and to have a more official bid with the correction and the down payment. Approximately a month later, we were called and informed that the shutters we had selected weren't available in board and batten shutters. We then ask what our options were, they told us to look up websites of other companies and take a look at some of those. Several of these companies were available to buy from the general public and were a lot less than we had paid. We asked to meet with our project manager at our home. He came, we discussed my concerns, where I found out he was a new employee and I felt was NOT qualified to answer our concerns. We picked another company and waited. and waited.......and waited. We would ALWAYS have to contact them, either our "project manager" or an office person. Finally, in December we were told UPS "lost" our shutters. We asked for our money back. They said "no problem." When we called to follow up on our money, they had "found" all our shutters except one. We said we still felt best getting our money back. They called again and said they had found our other shutter and it would be installed that week. At this point we decided to just get them done. We scheduled an appointment for Thursday and they would begin. No one showed up Thursday, we called, they said Friday, no one showed up Friday! They finally came the following Wednesday and started the work. It was completed 2 days later satisfactorily. All in all it was a bad experience. Terrible communication, poor follow through, not a good presentation of a clear product. (We never even saw a sample) Sloppy business practice in regards to presenting a computerized, professional bid. After all that? The bill never was rectified from the wrong amount of shutters. We paid, we are done. We would never contract with this company again.
