Customers say: True professional

"Jon did an amazing install on my backsplash for my kitchen and was great to work with and very helpful. When he came to my house to give us a bid, he knew exactly what had to be done and quickly bid the job. He was on time and always let me know that he was on his way, When he came to my house to install my backsplash, he did not waste any time to get started and steadily worked his way through the project without any BS and really focused on the job at hand. He is honest, neat, cleans up when he is done for the day. He is very professional. He does great work and is the go to guy for tile installation - Highly recommend him."

"Jon and Carlee were great to work with. Jon handled the estimate and design while Carlee came out to oversee the moving crew to make sure everything went smoothly. When the installation crew showed up they were polite and friendly as well as professional. When the installation of our new floor was done l couldn't have asked for a better installation, the installers are craftsman. Upon completion Carlee came out to inspect the job. We couldn't have found a better company to hire."

Honest and skilled. 7 years experience in tile and flooring. I'm an Ironworker. Worked on large commercial projects(high rises, bridges, midrise). I come with variety of certificates (welding,first-aid,signalling,rigging). Lots of classroom hours and training that cross relates into pretty much anything.I currently had to step away from ironwork due to large changes in my personal life. Im capable and willing to do any job big or small.

"We were very, very, pleased with the finished tile and paint work and impressed with their professionalism, great customer service. They were prompt to arrive on the job and if there was any delay for any reason, they called ahead to let us know why and then gave an update on their estimated time of arrival. Would hire again if needed for any future tile installation and/or interior painting for our house."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

It’s possible to walk on a clay tile roof, but you run the risk of breaking or cracking the tiles if you’re not careful, so it’s best not to walk on it if you can avoid it. If you or a contractor needs roof access, be sure to distribute your weight evenly and step on the portions of tile that are also supported underneath, which depends on your tile design. Walking on any roofing material is inherently dangerous, so wear rubber-soled shoes and use safety equipment if you need to access your roof.

To make a small bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored tiles in a medium- to large-format size. Lighter colors like white, cream, or light gray help open up a room, making it feel larger and more airy. While it may seem counterintuitive, small tiles can actually make a bathroom look smaller because the increased number of grout lines creates a busy pattern that visually shrinks the space. Instead, opt for medium- or large-format tiles for a more seamless, expansive appearance. For the best effect, pair your tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout to create a continuous surface that enhances the illusion of a larger area. Avoid dark colors, heavy patterns, and contrasting grout, as these can make the space feel more confined.

One major drawback of a concrete tile roof is that the material is heavier than most other roofing materials, so there’s a good chance you’ll need structural reinforcements for your home before you can install the roofing material. Concrete tile roofs are also twice as expensive as asphalt shingle roofs, so even though they last much longer, you’ll see higher up-front costs and lower overall value from concrete roof tiles.
