"They plowed snow at my property last minute and did a fantastic job. They worked longer than expected and the bid was honored. They followed up several times to check and update during the job. Excellent communication and customer service. Thank you, I highly recommend this business."

I have been in the construction industry for over 15 years. I have spent the last 10 years primarily managing large multifamily, single family and hotel projects, both new build and remodels. I recently started this business and I am eager to connect to see how we can work together to make your project idea a reality. I am fully licensed and insured and can adapt to whatever requirements your project may have. \n

"Everything went very well. My 6' wood privacy fence that was put up looks amazing and I will definitely use them again. The timelines for the fencing project went almost exactly as planned and if there were any hiccups, they were completely transparent. Highly recommend for anyone's fencing needs as they also provided a few different options to choose from. Will have them start on my next project for my horses hopefully in the next couple of months."

"Matt was a great guy to work with. He is personable and professional and really knows windows. He and his team got our home done in two days time and left the area very clean. The installation was done in stucco walls which can be tricky, but Matt pulled it off so well it was a seamless transition. I would highly recommend Matthew Johnstone for window services."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

Log cabins are relatively difficult to maintain compared to a traditional house. That’s because log cabins require regular upkeep and care that can include refinishing and corncob blasting, a process similar to sandblasting that shoots ground-up corncob with compressed air.

The cheapest way to build a storm shelter is by using an above-ground, DIY approach. Building a simple, small above-ground storm shelter using concrete or steel materials can be more cost-effective than purchasing pre-made shelters or constructing elaborate structures. However, it's crucial to ensure that the shelter meets safety standards and is capable of protecting against severe weather events. Always consult local building codes and regulations and consider hiring a storm shelter builder near you to ensure the shelter's structural integrity and effectiveness.

Renting the right type of storage unit is sometimes a more practical alternative to renting a storage container if you don't need regular access to your items. It saves you from having an unsightly container sitting on or near your property, you won't have to worry about permits, climate-control facilities are safer for some items, and you'll have peace of mind from on-site security.

This is a matter of personal preference. However, building a detached structure is generally considered better if you intend to rent out the new space. The advantage to going with an attached garage addition is that you may pay less for plumbing, HVAC, and other features because you can use the existing systems from your home to carry over piping and wires.

It’s better to build a garage than buy and install a prefabricated one. You can save money by purchasing a prefabricated metal garage kit for between $4,000 and $11,000. However, this does not include the price of labor and permits, which can account for more than half of the project cost. Building a new garage over buying a prefab garage will add more value to your home and will last longer, so it’s more cost-effective over time to build a new garage.
