"We have an older home with older ductwork. We had Spencer and Brayton out and they cleaned and sealed our ductwork. They did a great job. Professional, great communication, attention to detail. They reduced our air leakage by 86%. We noticed an immediate difference in improved airflow, our cold spots are no longer cold spots. Thanks!"

"It went great!
They were within line $10 of the estimate.  They were prompt and professional.
We have curved eaves on our house and they took the time to make everything look neat and clean.
They ended up working in our house all day, but you couldn't tell it since they were so clean and picked up after themselves very well.
I will be using them in the future for sure!

"Dillon was a great guy and worked fast and efficient. My house is 50 plus years old and the duct work had never been cleaned. Post the work, the house even smelled better. I am in the middle of a complete remodel and living in the house. I had all 11 vent grilles removed -(saved Dillon a pile of time not having to remove and re-install) and I would have thought a discount would have been in order."

"Their service manager came to our home on a Saturday and replaced our failed garbage disposal. Job was done professionally. He cleaned up after finishing the removal and installation. There was no added cost for coming on a weekend and the service fee was waived as we were first time customers. Very satisfied."

"I wanted to avoid having several differnet companies come through after purchasing a home.  I went with Sears Home Services because the prices were compatible and the ratings were good.  The A/C units were service on one day and the duct cleaning was performed the next week.  The A/C technician was extremely professional and explained exactly what was being done during each step.  One of the units was slightly overcharged so he recovered a little of it to put it in optimal range.
The duct cleaning crew was very professional and performed the service fairly quickly.  The A/C duct cleaning was a little expensive but convenient due to having everything done at once.  They did miss a little of the cleanup but it was easily vacuumed.  The dryer vent cleaning was excellent.  I had already known there was a blockage in the pipe and they were very efficient in unblocking it and making sure it was clear.

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It takes hair about two years to dissolve on its own in the drain without the use of any tool or help. Fortunately, using a drain snake, plunger, or any of the actions mentioned above to dissolve the hair will help get rid of the clog in as little as 15 minutes.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

Boiling water helps unclog a drain, but usually only with a harder abrasive such as baking soda or vinegar. On its own, it isn’t the most effective tool. In addition, you shouldn’t use boiling water if you have PVC pipes, as it can soften or melt them. Use a plunger or enlist the help of a pro if you have plastic pipes.

If you try a drain snake and various DIY methods for unclogging drains to no avail, bring in a professional plumber to assess the situation. Also, if multiple drains in your home are backing up or you smell sewage, a visit from a plumber is best. You can expect your drain cleaning costs to fall around $250, and this can include an assessment of what’s caught in your plumbing and if there’s a larger, underlying problem. You should also consider calling a pro if you need to snake a toilet, as DIYing this could lead to a cracked fixture.

The best drain cleaners are biodegradable ones or a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. Strong, caustic chemicals may seem appealing with promises of unclogging your drain quickly, but liquid drain cleaners can cause damage to your pipes over time. Consider making your own drain cleaner with baking soda and vinegar.
