"My project was 9 anchors to be installed in a 1955 house at the bottom of a steep hill. We have brought in 40 truckloads of dirt-well tamped and terraced the yard with limestone walls and 4 french drains. Should have done the anchors first but did not so much of the delicate landscaping had to be preserved on top of it all to complicate matters. I was nervous but the project went so beautifully and they compromised with me to maintain the character of the house. Everyone worked hard all day. Bill Bothwell was a gem and totally understood all of my concerns. He needs a raise in pay. Chris Warren who initially evaluated the project day one was great, too. He answered all of my questions even days later as I had time to think out how this was all going to effect future projects that will be happening like an addition. My yard is nice and neat and tidy-you would not know major construction happened. I am a very picky person and my landscape is happy, too. The team is great! I cannot applaud them enough! The price was super fair!"

"In addition to the gutter guards which were installed and the downspouts buried, Thrasher also changed out a misfitting basement window well and cover, and installed a Sadona dehumidifying system. Jonah and his crew of Corrin and Luis were excellent at the work they did. I was called before they arrived, to ensure I was ready for them to start work, and Jonah went over the work with me prior to starting, to confirm what was to be done. Completely professional. After it was completed, we inspected it together and everything was perfect. I will worry less next time it rains! I will definitely recommend Thrasher if anyone I know needs work done."

"Mike M. giving the estimate and follow up to the actual work as great. He was really informative and gave me multiple options to work with to stay within budget and help me resolve the issue. I was super confident about getting the work done. After a week delay because the crew got stuck on a problem job. No biggie there. But when came time to do the work I found I should have gotten so much more in writing. I agreed to keep the dirt dug out because I was provided they would spread it on my side yard. Nope, I’m now sorting out how to spread this large pile and it’s ending up costing me more money and time. I also was under a different understand of where and how the sump pump would be draining than was actually the case. If I use them again I will definitely make sure whatever is agreed upon with the sales person is well documented in the contract."

"Good. Came back and fixed a couple of things I didn't care for. Did not come back and extend the pumb pipes out into the yard. Need to call. My expectation was to that the floor would be cleaner than it was left.

"After 3 years following a complete roof replacement on 3 structures, I developed leaks on the corners in 6 locations, seemingly a product failure. Total provided Saturday service and ordered the correct color and re-scheduled for install. Their work came with a 5 year warranty, which was easy and no hassle getting done. Their staff remains professional and office staff tries hard to keep us informed through the repair. We have previously met and worked with the owner of Total, Kevin Jackson, truly a man of integrity, hard to find in roofers. It is my pleasure to recommend this company and I have.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.

Yes, drains are one common entry point for water bugs. However, water bugs may enter your home through various locations including doors, windows, pipes, and vents. Water bugs are drawn to the dark and moist atmosphere drains provide, and can easily find their way into your home through sewer drain pipes. You can stop water bugs from entering through drains by regularly cleaning your drains and repairing faulty drainage systems.

If your dishwasher isn’t draining, some common causes include a clogged drain filter, drain hose, or air gap. Also, if you have a garbage disposal, a clog in the disposal can back up your dishwasher since they share plumbing, as can a clog in your kitchen sink’s plumbing. A handy DIYer may be able to figure out how to unclog a dishwasher, but you may need to call in a plumber if you can’t locate and clear the clog yourself.

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).

You’ll need to stop or pause the machine using its control panel to start the draining process mid-cycle. Remove the items inside, turn off the power to the machine, and then follow the steps above to drain the machine manually.
