North Country Windows And Bath

Would not recommend. I replaced all of the windows in my first house with North Country Windows. Then moved to a new home and replaced all windows with North Country Windows. Have tried filing 2 claims with them at the second home, only to be told that they will not cover the damage. The first event, was the kitchen window was leaking into the wall and we didn't notice until the drywall started to bulge and crack. A North Country contractor came and fixed the window so it didn't leak any more, but they would not do anything for the wall and drywall damage. Then, the paint started coming off of all of the aluminum trim on every window that I have. I called to file a claim and have them repair. I was told this was an aluminum issue that they were aware of, however, they were not covering it. They said that they could come and repair the trim, however, I would have to pay them for the repairs. I had actually referred friends to North Country Windows. And after replacing every window in two different homes, this customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone again. There are plenty of window companies that offer comparable windows with much better customer service. One Star rating is a stretch in my opinion. Jason W., Kearney, NE

The demonstration of types of window was excellent. He showed the different types of windows: single pane, double, and triple, how they are made and insulated. He also demonstrated how much heat is felt with each type of window.

Impressed with value and workmanship on windows in two rooms that we had them do the rest of the house a year later.

We (my wife and I) are very pleased with the whole event.   20k is a lot of money for windows but these are worth the cash if you have it.

North Country Windows And Doors put windows in my house and I was very disappointed. They called me for more but I would not even talk to them. They were very pushy on the presentation. A window came in cracked and they didn't even notice it. We had to point it out to them. They put one of the windows in the wrong way, so it opened the wrong direction. They were the casement, roll out windows. I think for what I got, I was scammed, price-wise. I would tell others not to listen to them. If they call, hang up.

It took them about four months to do the installation from the time I placed the order. They had half of the payment the entire time. The workmanship was not good. I continued to try to resolve the issue but they threatened to take me to collections for the remainder of the payment. The quality of the stuff is good but the quality of their service was bad.

Their service was wonderful. They were really prompt with the sales call. They got me scheduled right away and completed the work on time.

There was a problem with the eight foot bay window.  They just resolved the issue about two months ago. I love the windows and they are great quality. However, the issue was I continued to re schedule the repair. Each time I would take off work and then they would call to tell me they could not make it for various reasons such as a flat tire. I threatened to call our local television station and to seek a lawyer. They finally came out to install a new window about five years later.

The installation was okay and they did a good job. However, the salesman was not truthful and did not install the windows he told us he would. They did sort of make it right with us in the long run. We tried to use them again for doors but the salesman was not knowledgeable. Overall, they have poor salesmen.

My dealings with the salesperson was a push sale tactic that I hate. It seems pushing and the hard sell is how the management works. I was really ticked off when I was handed his phone to talk to the bank loan officer about financing the window and door. I refused the bank persons attempts to get me to apply with them. I was called constantly by either the salesman or the bank loan officer North Country called. I finally explained to her that I have my own banks and one that I already had loan business with. I was told the windows would not be manufactured without payment of half the cost but about 6 weeks into the deal I was called about the installation day and time they chose for me.The installation was done by a very nice respectful and courteous team of guys. They did the job quickly, disposing of the old door and window. They cleaned up any mess from the job and I was happy with their part of the ordeal. Sales and management are not as professional as their installers.

They arrived on time and completed the job in one day.  The crew was very professional and did a good job.  They cleaned up when they were finished.  They were missing a piece on one window and returned the following week to complete it.  Over all we were happy with the job they did and so far a impressed with the windows.
