"The crew of William, May and Nay completed the encapsulation of our older home (built in 1925) crawlspace. They understood the importance of doing a good job and paying attention to detail. Thank you!"

"Where do I start?!? If I could give Jason 10 stars, I would. He was at my house an hour after I called in a panic when several drains were clogged and unusable. He was professional, friendly, and got right to work. His experience and problem-solving skills were clear right from the start. When my old pipes for one drain didn’t allow him to snake down far enough to clear the clog, he simply moved to another drain to do what needed to be done. Shortly after that, the clog(s) was cleared. When I despaired out loud while he was in the first drain that it didn’t sound promising, he simply replied, “Don’t worry, I’ll get it cleared!” I would absolutely recommend Jason to anyone and everyone who needs an experienced, honest, friendly and hard-working plumber, and will be sending my family and friends his contact information. I’m already making a list of other plumbing projects I’d like him to do for me. Seriously, the world needs more people like him."

"On the date of the installation of the Creep Stopper, the crew called to see if they could arrive a bit earlier in the day. It was fine with me, so the job was actually done earlier that I anticipated. They cut a 4" strip of concrete from our driveway and inserted the rubber joint (the Creep Stopper) and then proceeded to completely clean the entire driveway of all mud and debri from the job. The whole project took maybe 1 - 1 1/2 hours. They also sealed a minor crack in the basement wall. Both men were courteous and took the time to answer questions. This is a very professional company with great employees!! I would hire them again without hesitation!

"Overall, was very pleased with results. Recently had to replace defective tub spout and cartridge. Encountered an issue with spout replacement. Had a verbal agreement that customer supplied spout, shower head and single handle assembly would be covered under life time warranty. Since it was not written down on contract, Rebath indicated customer supplied parts were not covered even though sales indicated it would be covered verbally. However, Rebath did order part (it was under Moen lifetime warranty) and installed part. Rebath did offer to assist with future claims, if needed, with customer supplied parts needing replacement."

"They were busy with another job, but came over to see what needed to be done on the install. Said that they would be over when they finished the current job that they were working on. It turned out to be pretty involved job because the original guy who contracted with Home Depot did not get the correct measurements, so he left it in garage saying that it couldn't be done. Pro Handyman Services figured out a plan of action, explained it to me and did a very good job! I definitely would hire them again!!"

"They raised the corner of our foundation and installed 7 push piers to prevent further settlement. This was a very stressful experience for a couple of senior citizens, but the excellent, conscientious workers explained everything they were going to do before doing it. They did everything they said they would do, and they satisfied my husband which is an accomplishment!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Everything about them was professional. After scheduling the appointment, they sent us information about the company and the individual person who we would be working with. They called to remind us of the appointment as well. The problem with the water seeping into the house was due to clogged gutters (we had someone coming out later that day to fix that). Mike, the Midwest Basement rep, immediately diagnosed the problem and let us know what it was. Even though it was a pretty stupid problem, and one that he wasn't going to fix, he treated us professionally and non-judgmentally. There was never a sense that it wasn't worth his time."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs vary by severity and access requirements. Typical pricing ranges from $100 to $350, increasing with complexity or for emergency services.

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. Avoid putting the wrong food items down the disposal, including pasta, rice, bread, and more.

Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.

As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.

Flushing the toilet only to realize it’s clogged can cause anxiety. To avoid a clogged toilet, use less toilet paper. If you notice that the toilet is flushing and refilling slower than usual, you can use a plunger to clear clogs in the S-trap. If that doesn’t work, call a plumber to check your system and possibly clear the drain lines.

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).
