"I called two contractors to come out and look at the problem area. The first guy was useless-/ looked at the wet spot in the basement, walked around the perimeter, then wrote out an expensive proposal for waterproofing. This company did not charge for the visit. Then Anthony arrived. He cut a hole in the sheetrock and explored the whole area very carefully, including turning on the hose full blast and running it right along the foundation for 30+ minutes. He found the problem— a leaky pipe— and gave us a competitive bid. I was very impressed with Anthony. He was there over an hour and clearly was not going to leave until he found the answer to the problem. Kudos to Anthony and Basement King for outstanding customer service. I’m a Realtor and you can bet that all of my colleagues will get my strong recommendation to use this company in the future. The $50 charge for the visit was money well spent, whereas the $0 charged by the first contractor was an appropriate amount for what I got— nothing."

"We freaked out when we first saw the water coming into our basement and called the first companies we could think of (Bigger companies that you hear on the radio). The first one could not get out to even look and give a quote for 2 weeks. The second was 3 weeks. After a couple of days of calming down, we called a company that looked good, would fix the leak, and not make a major production of trying to repair the foundation. After 2 tries, they would not call back. Based on the ratings on Angie's List, we called A Best Dry Waterproofing. It looked like they would do about the same as the one that would not call back. Well holy cow!! Not only did he call back, but within 1 (one !!) week he had come out, given a quote, and had it fixed. Everything was done from outside, no major foundation work, no cutting troughs inside the basement. If the big names cannot even get out to give a quote for 2 or 3 weeks, how long would it take to actually fix it? Every time it rains, water would run in and waiting weeks or months was just aggravating and stressful. I would definitely use them again, but hopefully won't need to. If you don't want to watch your basement flood every time it rains while waiting for someone that is too busy to even give a quote, do yourself a favor and at least let them provide a quote."

"Overall, it was a good experience. AAA put down a vapor barrier and installed a Santa Fe dehumidifier with sump pump. The result is that we can now use the stand-up basement/crawlspace to store things under the house without ruining them. This is the part that you need to know. The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."

"I cannot recommend Robert and his crew highly enough. He is probably the best contractor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was polite, professional, responsive and easy to get in touch with. He truly cares about the outcome of his work and went above and beyond the original scope of the work in order to achieve what he believed to be the best result. The job took longer than he originally expected because we added on the work on the retaining wall, but he never complained about it or made us wait. I feel as though he stands behind his work 100% and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his crew to anyone."

After realizing it was not something we could address ourselves, we went to Angie's List and found GForce plumbing - a quick call and Jeremy was able to squeeze us in the same day (which was impressive considering it was first thing on a Monday following a holiday weekend). Eric came out and after having a look at our total situation, was able to bring the right tools and get the job done quickly and efficiently. We thought the blockage was cleared initially, but he was thorough and repeatedly tested it (which was a good thing, because the issue required a few more attempts to clear). Pricing seemed fair and this positive experience will put GForce at the top of my list to call for any future plumbing issues (emergencies or optional/remodel work)."
