"I did a quote on Angie needing help with my newly installed HVAC system in my recently purchased home. Kevin was the first person to call me, I explained what was going on he asked a series of questions and eventually referred me to the installer of the system. Informing me there should be a minimum one year installers warranty, to figure out whom installed it and to get them back out as to not void my manufacture warranty by allowing someone else work on the system. "The technician was on time and courteous.  My A/C wasn't blowing any cold air, so he checked the air handler first, then checked the heat pump.  The freon was very low, 1.5 pounds in a 3.5 pound system, so he charged the unit with freon.  The air was fine after that.  He did a check for leaks from the evaporator coil "on the house" and showed me that the coil was losing coolant from several spots.  He recommended that an engineer come have a look about a system replacement since it was impossible to tell how long the coolant was leaking - the main issue being that the coil had several leaking spots.
Overall the service went well.  The price was a function of the high price of freon ($90 or so per pound), so it could have been any HVAC company getting dinged on the price issue.
