"Awesome service!  I called Advanced Plumbing for the first time around midnight when I had a water spewing from a pipe behind my water heater.  I spoke with John who was there within 15 minutes of me calling.  He replaced the pipe and fixed the leak within 30 minutes.  I was worried about it being considered an emergency call and costing more, but he doesn't charge extra for emergency calls.  Great guy and great company!  Highly recommended!!

You can and should use a hose to fill a hot tub. There shouldn’t be anything special about the hose other than it shouldn’t be damaged. Kinks or leaks could slow down the filling process. Attach the hose to the nearest spigot and get the water flowing.

First, check that you have cut off the water supply to your toilet. This is a project that can only be done safely if running water cannot reach your toilet fixture. If you're seeing water trickle out after you've confirmed that the water supply is shut off, you can probably rest assured that what you're seeing isn't a problem. It's common for leftover water to spill out when you're removing your toilet's fill valve. To measure pipe size, you can use a ruler, a soft tape measure, or a caliper. You can find a special pipe caliper that has iron or copper pipe sizes already marked. Rulers work if the end of the pipe is exposed. If your pipe is still attached to the plumbing, you’ll need to go for a soft tape measure or caliper.

The P-trap (or S-trap in older homes) under your shower is designed to prevent sewer gas from coming back up, so you shouldn’t normally experience foul odors coming from your shower drain. If you do, the vent stack that introduces air into your plumbing system may be clogged, or you may have a more severe sewer main blockage. In either case, hire a plumber to fix the issue for you.
