"used wrong siding on my small exterior wood replacement job. I was aware before I hired Five Star to paint home exterior that the original siding was not available. I was told that a closer match could be made by them buying the siding from a company they use in Griffin GA. The siding would have to be modified to fit I agreed to this. What was used on my house was an improper fit bought from Home Depot and required large amounts of calk to fill gaps. Their response to the complaint I filed with the BBB contained false, misleading, and incorrect information. My impression is that their goal is have you sign on the dotted line. They did not performed the work as discussed. The contract was written using terminology which allowed them to do what they did. Use at your own risk....wished I had used another company."

The second time the technician was very late (which we understand happens) and the treatment was not applied throughtout but like he was in a hurry. The next time they never showed up. My husband called and they said they would send someone out the next week (the earliest they could get someone out). This was also a no-show. My husband again called and asked for a refund of monies paid as he had taken off work twice to be there. The company could never explain why they had not shown up twice nor did they offer any refund. We were happy with the effectiveness of the treatment but the poor customer service has lost our business."

Our company has served the Atlanta area for 20+ years. Our main focus remains larger exterior home remodeling projects. We install new windows, doors and siding along with full roof replacements. Tracy (Owner) is at every job, you do not meet with any sales representatives, you meet the owner himself. He and His son (Jake) will come meet you and discuss any questions or concerns you may have. We do subcontract, but that has never caused an issue or concern for us and we warranty and guarantee all work that we have done/or will do. Our prices are ALWAYS competitive with the going market. We are not out to get your money or take advantage of the homeowner due to the economy, but are out to do a quality job for a competitive price. We do not require or ask for any money upfront. We wait until you and/or Jake or Tracy walk the job and are completely satisfied.

My first experience was great; the owner met with me to determine what I needed and to answer questions. After the installation, he called to make sure I was happy with the product and service. My second experience was different; I had to leave a few messages before I heard back from the owner. He told me that he subcontracted out all his window jobs, saying someone would be out to measure. The man who did the measuring and the man who actually installed my windows were professional and competent, and I love the quality the windows.
