Though he hoped to replace the server, it was non-standard and he had to cut into the plenum and replace the entire damper unit. Plus the layout of the system was such that access to the area was unusually difficult. He also serviced the outside condenser unit more thoroughly than I have seen over the years. And installed one wi-fi thermostat and moved another. I felt that his charges were very reasonable considering all that was asked of him. "There was very little work to do. They came out on time and I was happy for the professionalism, but there was nothing to do because it's a brand new system. The service is free for a year. I could have had them come out in April to check the air conditioning system, but since they just installed the unit in April, I didn't bother, but it would have been free. This fall, when I called him to check the furnace, he thought he was coming out to check the air conditioning, I said, "no, you're here to check the furnace because I'm going to be using the heat this fall". He said, "no problem" and he checked that out, he said, "I feel like I'm not doing anything, I can still check the air conditioner", and I said, "if you want to, but I've been running it all summer and it's been great".
