"I wasnt happy with my existing HVAC Contractor so I called Air1 of Central Florida. Csaba came within few hours tested the system very methodically and diagnosed that drain pipe was clogged. He cleaned the pipe with pressurized nitrogen. His charges were reasonable."

"Several problems identified with old HVAC unit. Ended up buying new unit, which I am satisfied with. However, when installed, the technician did not install an upgraded circuit breaker switch required for the new unit. It took three weeks to resolve this problem after purchase."

"Luis arrived on time on Monday, 7/9 after I had only sent them the signed contract for the install on 7/5. Jose was very easy to work with and made sure everything was ready for the install by Monday. Alex arrived mid-afternoon to remove the old A/C from the property as well as inform of the warranty and maintenance agreements. Luis worked from 9am -5:45pm and there was only one issue where he had one thermostat wire in the wrong position for the condenser, but he troubleshooted the issue within 20 minutes. The area around the A/C and Condenser were returned to their original state. Paid Cash as well as received a discount based on the model purchased. House was at 94 degrees and within 45 minutes was down to 80. 2.5 Ton for 1228 sq feet house in Florida."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

If you're often struggling with radiator issues like chilly spots, leaks, or annoying noises, those are common indications that your radiator may need to be replaced. Corrosion, uneven heating, and persistent hissing sounds are common issues as well. When repairs become a regular chore and your home’s energy bills start to rise, a new radiator will bring the comfort and savings you need.

On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.

Costs depend on unit size, labor, fuel type, and whether additional piping or venting is needed.

Many HVAC companies offer free quotes and free estimates for repairs and new HVAC systems. Others offer low-cost quotes or apply the cost of the estimates or diagnostics to your final bill if you hire them. Be aware that some companies advertise free HVAC quotes and recoup the costs by charging more for their services. Free HVAC quotes are never truly free—they cost the company time and effort—so be a good customer. Also understand that you may end up paying for free quotes in another way if you don’t hire a reputable company.

Heat pumps are significantly more efficient than boilers, typically providing three to four times the amount of heat for the electricity they consume. While boilers run on fossil fuels, heat pumps use only electricity. This efficiency can lead to long-term savings on operating and maintenance costs. However, heat pumps have a higher upfront installation price compared to boilers. Despite their lower efficiency, boilers remain a popular choice for many homeowners, with 8 million in the United States alone, due to their lower initial cost and less intensive installation process. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your home's infrastructure, your budget, and your personal heating priorities.
