"Very impressed with the Technician and the work that he did. The Technician was here for about 6 hours. The Technician discovered a mold issue in the Air Handler blower wheel and thoroughly cleaned the unit plus chemically cleaned the evaporator. The Technician installed a UV light to prevent future mold issues. He thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the house duct system & inside air handler, cleaned condensation drain pan & line. Also installed a whole house germicidal UV Air Treatment System. As he took down each air vent I gave them a thorough cleaning. We are now on a six month maintenance plan @ $89 each."

"I wasnt happy with my existing HVAC Contractor so I called Air1 of Central Florida. Csaba came within few hours tested the system very methodically and diagnosed that drain pipe was clogged. He cleaned the pipe with pressurized nitrogen. His charges were reasonable."

"Would give 6 stars if I could! Tim was very helpful in finding an AC unit that would work best for my apartment while saving me money, which I greatly appreciate. Tim did not try to sell me a more expensive unit and was straightforward when I asked him about different sizes and efficiency ratings, helping me get the best deal while also having an AC unit that runs perfectly. As a full time college student, having to replace my AC is a huge financial burden, and Tim’s prices and service far exceeded that of bigger companies in the area who I also called for a quote, i.e. ARS & Frank Gay. Tim & AJ explained everything being done in a way that made sense, and worked around my complicated schedule. They also took extra time and effort to figure out a way to install the compressor on the roof of my building without having to rent a crane, which saved me a considerable amount of money for this job. The new unit works even better than the last one ever did, and the job was completed quickly. I greatly appreciate their friendliness, flexibility and excellent service and will be using RAIR’s services again in the future. Will also recommend RAIR to anyone who needs their AC serviced, repaired, or replaced. Thanks again Tim & AJ!"

"The installation was smooth and quick. The technician picked up the unit in the morning and by early afternoon the air was cooling again. Today the technician called me back within a half hour. I explained the drain was clogged even though I used the vinegar to keep it clean. He asked if I had a shop vac and when I told him yes, he explained how to clear the clog myself. This saved me a service fee and took me about 10 minutes. Thanks for always being so helpful and today they put my interest ahead of them making money. Super company!"

"The project went extremely well and I am very satisfied! They arrived at a convenient time in the morning and finished faster than I expected the same day for such a big project. But ALL details were completed above and beyond simply installing the unit with top quality and professionalism provided by Ted, Mike and Anthony and left me very happy with the results! I would recommend their services to anyone looking for the 'best' service and quality in air conditioning and heat installation."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Yes, government incentives and programs are available to encourage energy-efficient upgrades in many regions. These incentives may include tax credits, rebates, grants, and low-interest loans for homeowners who invest in energy-efficient improvements such as HVAC system upgrades, insulation, and efficient windows. The availability and specific details of these incentives can vary by location, so check with your local government or utility company to explore your options.

A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.

A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.

Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

Radiators are a popular home heating choice in older homes, but they are becoming less common in new-construction homes. According to a 2022 report by Elements Visual Capitalist, only around 1.3% of new single-family homes have radiators and similar heating systems, such as baseboard heating.

While they may not be as popular as they once were, radiators today come with more energy-efficient features that can make them practical for modern homeowners.

Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
