"The technician who came was punctual and professional. While installing the new shower head I pointed out that there was a drip; the technician acknowledged this and stated he was only installing the shower head and not the cartridge. The technician needed to use a saw to remove the old faucet handles for our sink; he accidentally cut the sink as well in a couple of places. The next day one of the sinks had a leak and the shower head had a drip. I called Service One and they sent out the same technician. Upon arrival the technician acknowledged the drip in the shower from the prior day. When I asked why he did not fix this his reply was "I was only here to install the faucets and shower head - you never asked me to fix the dripping seen in the shower..." Why would a plumber not recognize the dripping water and discuss ways to correct the issue the first time? Also, when I asked if the drip in the faucet was from the cuts made in the sink from the saw the technician stated no. The technician also did not apologize for the cuts made to our sink. I am also curious why the company did not call to follow-up on services rendered, especially since I needed the technician to come out a second time..."

Our A/C went out at 10pm and I made one phone call to Service Star they diagnosed the issue over the phone and told me what I needed to do in order to have our unit run efficiently overnight. Our coil was leaking and unit was frozen. Since our unit was 10 years old we opted to replace the entire unit including exterior and interior with new WiFi digital thermostat. They walked us through the most energy efficient option for our home. They came out early today and installed the new unit! Talk about SERVICE! WOW! The unit was installed in under 4 hours and my house began cooling instantly. WHAT a difference this unit makes and we are super impressed with how quite it is. We are THRILLED! "My 16yo AC finally died and I needed a new system fast. I searched Angie's List, (I have had great vendors from here so far) and found West Coast Cold Air. The owner, Fernando, was very quick to respond. He came out that Tuesday to see what I needed and was able to install it Thursday am. He even gave me a loaner portable unit so we wouldn't melt another night without AC! He gave me a great price and he and his technician were in and out within about 3 hours. They are honest, fast, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. I would definitely use them again."

"Very well. They took a look at the problem and helped me decide the best plan which was to replace the broken equipment. They worked with me to decide what to buy for our needs and what the cost would be. We were able to work out a reasonable price that fit my budget. They removed and hauled away the old equipment and delivered the new unit on time. I was especially impressed with the worker who did the actual installation. "First visit restored functionality of the heating unit but left some necessary work for a second visit. The techs were a no-show for the second visit. When I called to follow up, I was advised they were trapped on another job site and couldn't meet the appointment, so we had to reschedule. The tech showed up as scheduled on the next appointment, and completed all the work he could do but had to schedule a third appointment to finish the work because he didn't have the materials with him to do so. It is important to note that my unit worked fine after the first service call, so all this follow-on work comprised testing the unit to determine why it failed in the first place (i.e., locate a probable freon leak), seal some leaking ductwork, installing an ionizer and replacing the lead line/filter between the compressor and the coil. Summary: knowledgeable and capable staff, pleasant people to deal with, reasonable pricing. However, they do not perform comprehensive assessments and work plans, so the whole repair/replace process can drag out into several visits. If you get the chance to work with Omar Martinez, you will find him prompt, courteous, and competent. Good guy - committed to making things right!"
