I was very anxious about getting a contractor because everyone kept telling me there was no way I could trust a Florida contractor and not be down there the entire time. I had a realtor that I had worked with before and on this house that I really trusted and she had given me names of contractors she knew. I knew that Rob Donovan knew the house because he had did a estimate for the people that had backed out of the sale before us. So I had a list of three contractors I was going to meet and set up times with each of them. The first contractor I met with went ok but I didn't feel that great about it. The second Contractor I met I did not like at all. I had a meeting with Rob Donovan the next day , instantly I felt at ease. He went thru the entire house with me answered all my questions. I felt he was a honest sincere person and I trusted him from the start. Originally I was just going to narrow the search down and have my husband fly down to meet with them and decide. I hired Rob the day I met him. We set up a time for him to measure and give me a estimate the day of closing on house. I felt like he was fair on the price and went out of his way to find ways to save me money. The house had mold issues that concerned me and he was there to assure me it can be taken care of and he did. He was so prompt on answering any questions I had. They started on the house in July as soon as the permit came in. They did everything to the house , windows , doors, roof, stucco, ac, pool, garage , ceiling repair. The house was completely trashed inside and out. Rob went above and beyond his job for us. I'm not good with picking out things and I asked him if he could pick out the front door and the paint colors. He did a amazing job. I arrived back in Florida in August and could not believe how much was already done and how great it was looking. Rob went thru the entire house with me several times to see if anything was missed or anything else needed done. Anytime I had any kind of question or needed something he was so prompt getting it taken care of. I had the chance to meet his crew, such a great talented group of men. They also went above and beyond their job. They hauled out refrigerator for me, carried up a mattress for me, hooked up my dishwasher , washer and dryer, and the water on the refrigerator. One of the things I liked about Rob was he is a family man and his crew is his family too. We were completely impressed and happy with everything they did. The entire process went so fast and without stress or problems. I would highly recommend Total Home Construction
- Total Home RoofingI decided to get the work done in two phases. Phase I began August 13 and included installing hurricane-impact windows and doors and was completed on schedule in 5 days. Phase II began October 7, was the major portion of the remodel, and was completed ahead of schedule in 6 weeks. I couldn't ask for a better contractor and am extremely pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. I pretty much had all my details worked out in advance, so all the ordering of cabinetry, countertop material, etc. went quite smoothly. There was hardly a day when some kind of work wasn't in progress. I would highly recommend Total Home Contractors for all your remodel needs. Note: I purchased the kitchen appliances, faucet, and ceiling fans myself and the contractor installed them as part of the project
- Total Home RoofingFrom start to finish they were great to work with. Rob and team worked with us every step of the way from the cabinet selection to the backslpash and counters. The quality of the products they recommend was great! our new cabinets are all wood no partical board and I am in love with them!! Total Home scheduled for us to go to the Granite company and be able to pick out a specific piece of stone to be used for our counters and that was such a added bonus to be able to go from a small sample piece to seeing the stone in full size and all of the details that would be in your final product. We had a couple unforeseen bumps in the road that could not have been predicted until the kitchen was gutted and Total Home took care of every one with no problems or delays in the overall project which was such a relief on our part not to have to call in anyone else to take care of the extra's that came up. The crew was great, at the end of everyday everything was cleaned up and put out of the way. They were very professional. I would recommend using Total Home again and I am currently having them back to do another project and will continue to use them for all of my home improvement needs. I would love to show before and after photos of our remodel but I am not sure how to do tha

"Hire Jacob and his team! We met with several contractors in the area. After meeting Jacob we knew he was the right man for the job. Our condo needed a complete renovation. Jacob spent about an hour and a half listening to what we were hoping to do. He took measurements and then returned for another hour + to go over his plans and costs. His price was more than fair for the work that we wanted. Due to the pandemic, we were stuck back in New York when the work began. We were unable to get down to Florida to select materials. Jacob sent me pictures and information for what he envisioned. <br /> They are in the process of doing my bathroom now. Because I am on a timeline with my bathroom, Tammy has been very good at helping keep things moving. Donny and Alec are doing an excellent job moving plumbing, patching walls and the tiling is beautiful. I am changing my bathroom from an 1980's bath into a modern handicapped bathroom for my parents. I didn't know the bathroom would be so many more decisions than the kitchen, but Tammy helped me make decisions easier.
