"They removed 3 old sliding-glass doors in an interior atrium and installed new sliding-glass doors in about 6 hr. They put up plastic sheet barriers to contain the dust and debris in just the area they were working, and thoroughly cleaned up when finished. Excellent workmanship; the doors look great and work perfectly."

"I recently had the pleasure of working with ASP SuperHome for the installation of new impact windows and doors in my home, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service. From start to finish, the entire process was handled with the utmost professionalism. I would like to especially thank the salesperson Peter for his knowledge, commitment and timely response to issues throughout the project. He helped me select strong 9/16” windows with visible transmission of 60% (thus, the outside from inside looks bright) while the solar heat gain was limited to 32% (thus, the house is protected from excessive heat). The windows are rated for +90 and -90 pressure, which is well above the Miami Dade guidelines. The doors are strong and aesthetic. In summary, I received strong, hurricane protection doors and windows that also shield me from heat and noise, move smoothly, and are visually appealing. The quality installers at ASP, Yosyenny and Emilio, demonstrated exceptional skill and attention to detail. They worked diligently and efficiently, ensuring that each window and door was perfectly fitted and securely installed. Despite the extensive work, they maintained a neat and organized workspace, leaving no mess behind. Roy is also a capable installer. Thanks also to Michel and Sergio for project management, and to Emily, Luisa and JJ for the coordination. Overall, my experience with ASP was outstanding. Their commitment to providing high-quality service and their dedication to customer satisfaction truly set them apart. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of window and door installation services."

"Half was finished last year and the other remaining openings were completed this year, all during the Pandemic. Little delay on getting the ESW windows shipped to the US, but understandable during this time as everything was disrupted. Installation crew was on time and worked efficiently, even in the rain this year. Windows are a tremendous upgrade from builder grade non-impact 25 year old windows. They are well built, hold out noise and heat, and are solid. Front picture window was made up of 3 windows - had minor water leakage the first hard rain storm that was easily corrected with outside caulking. No issues passing county inspection. Everyone was polite and respectful, went about their business, and cleaned-up afterwards. I got ESW Windows with UV and Supernova accordions for the French doors. Nice to have a completed house."

"We hired Joe to replace our (4) glass sliding doors in our townhome. He came out on time and measured all the doors. Joe explained the process of how the doors are made and when we would received them(Hurricane Irma) had just hit the Westcoast of Florida so our doors would be delayed which I totally understood. Joe kept in touch with ya during the whole process. The doors finally came in and Joe arrived on time and installed every door with his worker. During the installation of the sliding glass doors he recommended that we replaced our front door.(which we did) He sold us the front door and even installed it. While installing one door in our master bedroom a piece of the door hit the screen of my television and caused damage s, Joe called it to my attention and said he would take care if it and I didn’t have to pay him the balance until he returned the tv. If you want a honest contractor then Joe is your guy!"

"The quality of the screening appears to be very good--so ultimately they did a good job. I liked the sales person (Sean) very much. He was professional and helpful. He said it would likely be 8 to 12 weeks to completion. That was the middle of June. The final inspection was yesterday, 11/15. We got off to a bad start when they wanted me to sign paperwork that was not complete on their side. They said it would waste time, but I wanted the details filled in before signing off. I was shocked that they even suggested this. Perhaps the City of Miami was simply slow in approving the permits (that is the information from S. FL Screen) and that was beyond their control, but they were horrible about giving updates (but the office manager Lynn occasionally did give a good update), and even complained the first time I asked that they were too busy to provide an updates. I kept asking occasionally anyway. Then they finally called about 2.5 weeks ago and said everything was approved and that they were going to manufacture the material, which would take 2 or 3 days, and then would be out to complete the job which would take another couple of days. Ten days later I get a call saying they were coming out that afternoon--but I was at the airport leaving for a 4 day business trip. When I told him I was traveling, he had the gall to complain that I hadn't told that I would be away and the I should have warned them about upcoming trips. But then never had asked. And he also claimed that they were right on schedule (when it had been 5 months after promising 8 to 12 weeks). He actually gave me a hard time. They came out about a week later, on a Friday. Again with only a few hours of warning and started the job. At the end of the day, they said they would come back and finish it the next day, but then did not show up. They called on Monday to apologize--saying one of the crew had taken ill. They came out and finished it a couple of days later. The only real glitch was that they had not accounted for the slop of the patio when planning, so the doors did not open properly. They came up with a reasonable solution, but it meant reversing the way the doors opened. Otherwise I am satisfied with the product, but dealing with them has not always been pleasant. Upon completion, the crew foreman asked me for the last payment (the last 3rd). I said my understanding was that the last payment was made after the inspections were completed. He seemed unhappy, but left. The day the inspections were completed I was at the hospital with my mother. They called in the afternoon and left a message asking for a credit card payment. Because I only got the message in the evening when I left the hospital (poor reception), there was not time to call. The next morning they had already called twice more by 9:15 am, the first call coming at 7:44 am."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

You can trim an overhead garage door screen to fit your garage door opening. This is a particularly helpful hack if you have an irregularly sized garage door opening but are still interested in installing a garage door screen to keep pests and debris out. Trim the garage door screen carefully to avoid unsightly edges or an uneven fit.

Screen doors have a positive ROI because of their safety features. They add protection from debris, critters, and, depending on the material, even heat. However, storm doors are better than screen doors when it comes to overall protection.

Among the various entry points into your residence, it's crucial to recognize that your basement windows are arguably the most susceptible. Basements usually have windows facing the side and back yards, often concealed from driveway floodlights, porch lighting, and doorbell cameras. Their vulnerability underscores the importance of reinforcing basement window security to safeguard your home from break-ins.

The average cost to screen-in your patio ranges from $2,000 to $4,000. How much you spend depends on the size of your patio, the materials used, and construction complexity. Some patio screen room kits are easy to DIY, but you may need to hire a local screened-in porch builder and obtain permits for more complex designs.

Adding a window to a brick house costs $3,100 to $10,575. Because you’ll need to make changes to the structure of the home, the cost will include obtaining permits and hiring the best pros for this complex job. Larger windows will cost more to install, and the cost can vary based on the window frame material you choose.
