Rayco Electric, Inc. is a full service electrical contracting company, serving residential, commercial and industrial customers since 1979. The Company is locally owned and operated and serves Manatee, Sarasota, Pinellas and south Hillsborough counties.
"I had to go through an inspection to get new home owners insurance on my duplex. During the initial inspection, I did not pass. I made sure that Rayco got a hold of the inspector so that they can do exactly what needed to be done to meet code requirements. The inspector came and it still did not pass inspection, even though Rayco was told exactly what was needed to be done. When I called Rayco to let them know, they said it was up to code and that they would look into it and get back to me. Later that day, they got back to me and said they contacted the person that did the work and they claimed everything was up to code. I ended up calling another electrical company who also spoke with the inspector before performing the work. The inspector came after the second company and we finally passed. I do not recommend Rayco."

"I first heard of this company when I was at Home Depot buying my home appliances and a guy came insisting on a Black Friday Deal “AC Tune up for only $8.88” if I could just think about how **** of a trickster this was …Never allowing this people come back inside my property again, totally scammers who will make your AC system fail, I’ve had COOL MODE WORKING PERFECTLY and my AC was giving me problems to Heating the house …inspector Ricardo who came and despite looking a good friendly person, he never finished the job on my AC pump upstairs due to “the NEST thermostat was in and out of fan”, tried charging me $380 just to do the thermostat installation, I refused and I did it myself, then there a fuse blown and he again told me it would cost $170 to simply change a “$8 fuse”!!! I refused again and as it wasnt enough now after I fixed the Fuse and Thermostat, just to find out they cut cooling system purposefully in the attempt to charge me for REPAIR, the AC fan is running and Thermostat is on Cooling mode but temperatures are reaching from 77F-85F leaving my family including my poor old grandmother suffering in the hot temperatures this entire time… THEY WANT TO RIP YOU OFF NO MERCY!!! DONT EVER TRUST THIS BUSINESS."

"Under Duke Energy's electrical warranty, a service ticket was sent to Live Wire to determine why i had lost power in a portion of my house. I called Live Wire to see when I may anticipate a technician to come out and I was fortunate to have someone out within 90 minutes. Bonnie at Live Wire was a pleasure to work with and Josh determined a breaker switch needed to be replaced. Replaced breaker and a check of all outlets was completed within 20 minutes. Happy to have lights again! Will definitely recommend Live Wire."

This after paying you $400 for pulling a permit. 2 or more weeks and no contact! Thus this bad review. Update as of 02/20/2025 I have another review on this site, I could not access it because of the inept ways that the folks on development and website management team built this platform... I digress... the previous Review was not good toward Lee Electric... This review is an update. Luis E the owner was very receptive to assisting us in our time of need post Hurricane's Helene and Milton, however due to some unforeseen challenges we were not able to utilize his services. I am giving the 4 stars for his prompt attention to the matter of a refund for services that could not be rendered."

"A/C went out because of bad breakers. I had to get emergency after hours service. Company sent a tech (nice guy); from Brandon. Shows up after an hour or so, and I told him in advance what he needed to get to complete job (I didn't have experience doing it). Gives me an estimate off the bat for over $1,000 to change TWO breakers worth about $65. When I complained and said "no", he suddenly came up with a new revised price of $549!!! I went forward reluctantly because we had no A/C and it was night time. Took him about 20 minutes to make the repair with me holding a flashlight and testing things for him. Incredible RIP OFF!!! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! They are obviously out to rip off people for a quick repair. And to do it when people are in a dire circumstance is just not right."
