"From pick up to delivery, excellent customer service and quality repairs. My dog had an accident and also chewed on the edges of my Persian rug. Now the carpet looks brand new and I am very happy."

"Absolutely blown away by these folks. We have a townhome at Boca West (vacation home). When we removed a wardrobe from the bedroom, as we suspected, the installers of the new carpeting had not carpeted under it. Fortunately, we had a remnant of the new carpeting and called Word of Mouth Carpet to patch in the new carpeting. I'll let the pictures do the talking. These two gentlemen that came were prompt, honest, and highly skilled. Their price was fair. They explained that the carpet we were patching in was directional carpeting and we might notice the difference. Can you see the difference?! I can't! I'm over the moon."

"Gerald Simmons of 3N1 responded quickly and came the day after Sears ruined my carpet. He was able to pretreat the stains left by Sears and recondition my carpets. He also advised me as to how to do follow-up care."

"It was fabulous. I did some comparisons and the other companies charge you by the square foot to take away your old carpet and padding. With Daniel, everything was included, they have a large selection, and they did the whole house in 2 days. They're great!"

"I would rather use a smaller company like City Carpet, who cares if your happy, than a big company like Stanley streamers who used the bait and switch on me. Stanley Streamer had been to my house before, knew what they had charged, emailed me a quote, then they arrive and said the price was $120.00 more than the quote, and that they would not be able to get a hall area of carpet cleaner than they had the last time. I told them to leave, called City Carpet and they arrived in a bout a 1/2 hour, and did it for the price Stanley steamer had originally quoted, AND got my hall clean."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on carpet quality, labor, underlayment, and furniture moving requirements.

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet

When deciding whether to repair or replace your carpet, consider its age, the extent of the damage, and its location. It's often best to replace the entire carpet if the damage is extensive, such as large sections needing replacement, or if it's caused by water, which can lead to mold problems. Similarly, if your carpet is nearing a decade old, replacement is likely the more logical choice. On the other hand, consider repairing your carpet if the damage is localized to one spot, like minor rips or snags, the carpet is still relatively new, or the damage is in a low-traffic area of your home.

No, it isn’t less expensive to install carpet compared to vinyl floors. The cost of installing carpet can range between $3 and $11 per square foot, so it falls just over the cost of installing vinyl flooring, at an average of $3 to $7 per square foot. High-quality carpeting can also range much higher, even up to $20 per square foot.

No, it works best under synthetic carpets in high-traffic or moisture-prone areas. Avoid using moisture barrier padding under natural fiber carpets like wool, which need air circulation. The barrier can trap the moisture against natural fibers and cause problems. Also, you can skip it in low-risk areas like upstairs guest bedrooms, where the extra protection often isn't worth the added cost.
