"We hired Rowland & Sons Tree Service to grind a huge tree stump and then level the area were the stump was and we could not be more pleased with their work. They arrived on time, were very friendly, and provided excellent customer service. We had a team of three (mom, dad, and son) who worked together to get the job done. In addition to grinding and leveling we asked them to save the soil/sawdust which they did happily and placed it in containers which we provided. They saved our sod which we easily replanted. I highly recommend Rowland & Sons for this type of work."

"Tom, the arborist, came out and assessed the health of the trees and made recommendations and quoted a price. He then came out on the first morning the crew arrived and showed the foreman what was to be done.
The crew was very professional and polite. They did everything I asked and cleaned up well afterwards. It was projected that the job would take 3 days, but they finished in 2. It was pricy and I'm assuming they did a good job. Not being an arborist myself, it's hard to know.

"I cant be more happy with the work that Asbel, and his crew, performed. I worked with Asbel from the beginning. He is very knowlegable and upfront. His crew was very professional and took care of business. This oak was right next to house, in the backyard. And because the tree was so huge, I was worried about potential damage to my house. But these guys know what they are doing, and it was impressive to watch them work. Experienced Tree Service (ETS) will be the team I call for any of my tree work, from now on. Asbel provides a very very competive price. As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to value, price, professionalism, and quality of work, Asbel and his crew are the best."

"The AAP Landscaping team were polite, energetic and very professional. They listened to what I wanted, offered advise, and did an outstanding job in a great timeframe. I would definitely have AAP Landscaping do all my future tree trimming and also refer them. Outstanding work!"

"I was very pleased with the work by Adam and his team! They cut down three trees and trimmed two others for me. Their price was competitive. Their crew arrived on schedule and was very conscientious about cleanup and precision of their work. I would definitely use them again! Roy Brown"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

It enhances property aesthetics, improves tree health, and prevents safety hazards.

A dead tree should always be cut down, because it could fall and cause injuries or damage, and it can also attract insects like carpenter ants. A tree that’s diseased beyond repair should also be cut down, but it’s not always easy for a homeowner to tell. Signs of disease include dying branches, a hollow trunk, leaning, and discolored or missing leaves, but your best bet is to hire a local arborist who can evaluate the tree and tell you if it can be saved or should be cut down.

A tree can split because of high winds, a change in temperature, or from an infestation or tree disease. All of these factors can overlap, making a single cause difficult to pinpoint. While winter storms are some of the most common causes for a tree to split, it can also happen because of termites or rot.

Talking with a septic pro before planting trees near your tank is best to ensure the roots won’t interfere with your septic system. However, there is an easy way to figure out where to plant a tree—but you’ll need to know how tall it can get when it’s fully grown. For instance, if the tree can reach 50 feet, plant it at least 50 feet from your septic system.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.
