They were on time.  Installed the system in record time and cleaned up before they left.  Brian & Will were great and I would definitely use the company again.

"Certified Climate Control is a company that cares about your needs and supplies you with just the right unit for your home and budget. Alex took the time to educate me on the systems and involve me in the decision for the unit that would be best for my needs. When the unit was installed everyone involved was very professional and knowledgeable from the courtesy call before they arrived to the cleanup. They are also very proud of their work which shows in the neat clean look of the finished product, I found their prices to be lower than competitors for the same product. If you are looking for a quality company that cares about the customer, their needs and budget, you will not be dissappointed with Certified Climate Control."

"My experience with Waychoff's Air Condition has exceeded all expectations. The staff were all top notch professionals and did excellent work. Tracy Poor provided clear, relevant information so that I understood the options available and there was no pressure at any point in the process. The installers, Omar and Bubby, were competent, experienced and personable. To my surprise, there was even a post-installation inspection to ensure the work was done up to company standards, answer any questions and ensure the customer was satisfied. I was genuinely impressed with this experience and would definitely recommend Waychoff's."

"After Hurricane Irma they send out a technician the next day. He was very knowledgeable. He exchanged the flooded water heaters and installed two new ones right away. The whole experience was very professional, fast and the price was very reasonable."

"The repairs required two visits, both were on Saturday which worked great for us.  The first visit they diagnosed the problem and identified the parts that needed to be ordered.  The second visit they brought the parts and installed them.
Between the two visits they spent nearly 6 hours working, 2 hours of that time was them figuring out the a-typical refrigerator and pulling the beast out of the cabinets (built-in refrigerator).   The parts cost just over $300, the rest was labor which equates to about $100/hr which I find to be quite expensive.
Other than the cost and time taken, they were top notch.

"Strickland's did a great job. On time, gave an estimate calculated to the penny. Crew was professional and really knew their job. This company had installed my prior unit over 15 years ago, so it was time for a more efficient unit. My electric bill reflects the change! Great job. Highly recommend this company.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The right type of HVAC system will depend on several factors, including your climate, budget, preferences, and existing HVAC setup. For example, if you live in an area that experiences extreme weather, then a split system would likely be the best option. Or, if budget is a concern, consider installing a ductless system in just one room.

Steam boilers require flushing at least every six to 12 months to keep them operating effectively for as long as possible. Depending on your water quality and frequency of use, you might need to do this more frequently. The flushing process helps to remove problematic buildup of sediments. While a boiler contractor near you can perform a thorough annual flush, learning how to drain the system yourself means you can do this monthly if you experience speedy mineral accumulation because of hard water.

An expansion tank must always be installed on the supply side, which is the side where the boiler sends water out to heat the systems. That placement allows the water to push against the air and condense properly as it is heated, then circulated through the system. Professional installers can recommend the best place on the supply side for an expansion tank.

No, boilers and water heaters are not interchangeable because they serve different primary functions. Boilers are used for central heating systems, providing hot water or steam to heat your home. In contrast, a water heater's purpose is to supply hot water for daily household use, such as for faucets and showers. A water heater alone cannot supply the warm water or steam needed for a central heating system.

While they are not interchangeable, it is common to have both a boiler and a water heater. In fact, a conventional boiler often works best when a water heater system is already in place. The two systems can be combined to provide both heating and hot water, either by pairing a boiler with an indirect water heater or by installing a premade combination boiler-water heater unit. For home heating, some homeowners may also opt for a furnace instead of a boiler.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.
