"Very good. Change over to the LED was quickly done and very improved lighting. Reasonable price and very efficient. Because we were impressed with the work, we also had Destiny Electric install an exhaust fan in the master bathroom where none was present. Work crew arrived at appointed time and efficiently installed the new fan in very reasonable time and at reasonable price. We would have Destiny Electric handled any future electrical at our home."

Small jobs welcome

"I needed my electrical box changed in order to obtain a new insurance home policy. It was really time sensitive, and Mr. Alie of Dalie Solutions, LLC came to my home to complete the work on New Year Day which was the only opening in his schedule for the current week. The actual electrical box install went very smoothly, but then there was an issue with the location of wiring that was not correctly installed previously. Mr. Alie persevered until the wire was found and the issue corrected. I enjoyed his professionalism, knowledge and experience, as well as, the care that he provided to my home. He and his assistant, Carl, cleaned up the work area before they left and ensured that my home was left in a pristine condition. I really appreciated that and the quality job that he performed."

"I called David Gray to replace a ceiling fan in the living room and install two motion censor lights on my front porch (both were already wired just need the fixtures swapped out). A little pricey, but I felt better having an electrician come out to do this work rather than a handyman especially since I wasn’t sure if the fan was going to work (the one that was previously there did not work -wasn’t sure if it was the fan or the wiring). Andrew did a good job and I would use David Gray again."

"Pure Power (Vlad) installed a Tesla wall charger at my residence. Due to how my house is constructed it was a difficult installation. In the end, the installation was beautifully done. While Vlad was connecting the wiring for the charger to the panel he also corrected an improperly previously installed surge protector. The really great thing about Vlad, he does what he says he going to do. I would definitely use him again."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Saint Johns, a reliable seasonal electrical inspection routine helps protect your home year-round. Start each spring by inspecting outdoor outlets, pool wiring, and landscape lighting after winter’s moisture. As summer approaches, check for panel overheating and damage from severe storms. In fall, clean panels, test surge protection, and prepare for hurricane season. Winter is ideal for testing smoke detectors, inspecting indoor wiring, and checking space heater connections for safe operation.

Helpful?

To make electrical projects safer for children and pets in Saint Johns, install tamper-resistant outlets and GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. Use weatherproof covers on exterior outlets and secure all cords to prevent chewing or tripping. For pool areas, ensure multiple GFCIs and emergency shut-offs are in place. Regularly inspect outdoor wiring for damage from humidity or wildlife to keep your family safe in Saint Johns’ climate.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Saint Johns, keep a non-contact voltage tester, multimeter, and GFCI tester available. Stock weatherproof outlet covers, corrosion-resistant connectors, and marine-grade tape for outdoor repairs. Store surge protectors, emergency lighting, and heavy-duty extension cords for storm preparation. Use waterproof containers for supplies and add moisture-absorbing packets to combat humidity. Having extra GFCI outlets and dielectric grease helps maintain safe, reliable electrical systems year-round.

Helpful?

When hiring electrical professionals in Saint Johns, look for experience with humid, coastal conditions and hurricane-resistant electrical installations. Confirm they understand local building codes and have completed projects involving pool or spa systems, which are common in the area. Ask for references from Saint Johns residents and verify they carry up-to-date insurance. Familiarity with electrical maintenance and storm preparation is especially valuable for local homeowners.

Helpful?

In Saint Johns, address electrical issues near water sources, storm-related damage, or any signs of overheating without delay, especially during hurricane season. Schedule panel upgrades, generator installations, or surge protection before storms are forecasted. Less urgent projects, like adding outlets or updating fixtures, can wait for drier months. Always prioritize electrical repairs that impact safety, moisture exposure, or your home’s readiness for severe weather.
