"Highly recommend Ensel Tile! Alon and his team were a pleasure to work with, doing an excellent job installing our rectified ceramic tile floors. We especially appreciated his crews skill and flexibility when needing to add custom steps to our reno last minute. Couldn't be happier with the final product."

Small jobs welcome

"I returned from vacation and found my terrace tile all uplifted., Evidently due to a cold front! I called John from Family, Tile and Marble who I had used to re-grout my apartment very successfully. John came, gave me a price, and proceeded to restore my Tile as if New. I can’t say enough about him and his company he is honest, and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend Family Tile and Marble without hesitation. You will not be disappointed."

"Anthony & Co tiled our home a few years ago. They did a great job! Recently a few tiles became chipped. When I called Anthony for help he agreed to come back and replace the chipped tiles even though some time has passed. Thank you Anthony & Co & Justin too for your expert work and fantastic customer service!"

"David did an amazing job with our marble & tile. It took him more time than he expected just because he wanted us to be happy. He regrouted it and brought the shine to the marble. Very profesional, I will call him again our floor looks clean like never before. Really worth it for the price."

"My husband and I had a great experience working with Tile Cleaning 24 Hour. Ofer followed up with us immediately following our inquiry. He came over to our apartment, gave us a fair price and got right to work. He was thorough, skilled and very professional. Our floors had ten years of residue in the grout, and the difference is amazing. We highly recommend Tile Cleaning 24 Hour."

"3N1 came to my home to look at mile tile-1200 sq. ft. The tile is 20 years old needed sprucing up. I do steam the floors to keep them clean, but after 20 years, and a previous owner of home, the grout became dirty and in the walk traffic patters black. The grout was originally a light beige. Gerald, came in and did a meaner of area and then a demo--of Tile and Grout cleaning on one of the 18x18 tiles! It was amazing--the tile was much cleaner with the imbedded dirt removed and the grout was clean to perfection--no longer black. 3N1 team moved my heavy furniture, and put back in place too. They were careful of all my possessions and did a GREAT job. Highly recommend them."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

For professional labor and materials, it would cost between $6,000 and $28,000 to install 1,000 square feet of Saltillo tile flooring. If that’s out of your budget, you could consider laying the tiles yourself or choosing a less expensive type of flooring. For example, vinyl flooring costs just $2 to $7 per square foot, so for a 1,000-square-foot space, you’d pay $2,000 to $7,000.

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

Larger tiles can be difficult to install because they’re heavier and bulkier than their smaller counterparts, which makes them harder to haul around and put in place. Plus, if you don’t install the tiles correctly, they could crack or break. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a professional for large-format tile installation.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.
