"I recently had the pleasure of working with Dominick at A National Electric Service to install a Tesla wall charger in my garage, and I couldnâ t be more impressed! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and truly exceeded my expectations. Dominick is clearly an expert in his field. He took the time to explain the installation process in detail, answering all of my questions with patience and clarity. His professionalism and knowledge immediately put me at ease. The installation itself was flawless, neat, efficient, and done on schedule. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail. Dominick ensured everything was set up to Teslaâ s specifications and tested the charger thoroughly before completing the job. He even walked me through how to use it, which was incredibly helpful and easy. If youâ re looking for a trustworthy, skilled electrician for any project, I highly recommend A National Electric Service. Dominickâ s dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is unmatched. Iâ ll definitely be reaching out to him for future electrical needs."

"Kent of Mr. Sparky arrived right on time and was so helpful. We are new to the whole generator realm and needed an outlet installed to be able to run our portable generator if power went out so that our well pump would work. Kent walked around the house with me and made suggestions on how we could go about making this connection. He then discovered that we already had the outlet installed. (Thanks to my builder's far sightedness) He then walked me through the whole connection process, how and what breakers to shut off or turn on and how it would all work. I was only charged for a visit and Kent shared his number with me if we had any questions. He did all of this in a friendly and professional manner and on the day before Hurricane Milton was to hit the west coast. Thank you Kent and Thank you Mr. Sparky, you are on my speed dial list now!! "Called on a saturday because our a/c was broken. They answered the phone on the first call and had immediate availability. There is an extra charge for same day service. I wound up not making the appointment because my husband figured it out before I finalized the call."

"The guys were great- prompt, courteous and professional. However $400 to install 3 GFIs and a light fixture is outrageous. A good $175 of that was spent going back and forth to the shop to get the GFIs which they were told about when I made the appt. If you use them just know the clock starts an hour before they get there at $100/hour.

All the outlets they serviced in the kitchen went out. They came out the next day to fix it at no charge."

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Yes, electricians must be licensed, certified, and in most cases, insured. Licensing requirements vary by state and local municipality, but most U.S. municipalities require electricians to hold an electrical contractor’s license. It's always a good practice to confirm requirements with your local municipality. Even if licensing is not required in your area, hiring a licensed and experienced electrician often leads to a better end result.

A license is a legal requirement to operate a business and is necessary for pulling project permits. Certifications, on the other hand, are typically voluntary and demonstrate a certain level of expertise. In some cases, a certified electrician may send an apprentice or journeyman to perform the work, but they must operate under a primary electrician who holds the proper license.

Before hiring, you should verify the electrician's license, insurance coverage, and any third-party certifications. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing search to confirm a pro's license status. Additionally, businesses with the “Angi Approved” badge on our platform meet strict criteria, including having the required state and local licenses, passing a background check, and maintaining a high average rating.

Having a Level 2 charger can increase your home value, especially as electric vehicles become more popular. Homebuyers who have EVs or are interested in getting one will appreciate the convenience of a ready-to-use charging station. The added value can vary based on location and buyer preferences.

Local electricians with experience in your area understand the local building codes, which is very important when doing new electrical work. They also have experience with the kind of electrical problems homes in your location may have, and even the components that were used in the original construction, which leads them to make faster and better decisions.

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.
