"When our HOA sought bids to have a black olive tree prepared for the hurricane season, Jimmie Nettle's Tree Service arrived ready to go to work. We didn't want the work done until closer to June, so Jimmie Nettle's submitted a plan for the work to be done and a competitive bid. When we were ready, with one text they arrived the next working day promptly and prepared. They understood our wishes for the tree to be prepared for the hurricane season without being butchered, as we had experienced in the past. What we got was everything we hoped for and beyond: an open tree with a beautiful canopy. The professionals worked efficiently, had all the tools needed, and left the site clean, having removed all the branches and debris almost as quickly as they fell. We certainly recommend Jimmie Nettle's Tree Service to anyone needing work with trees. We already know that we will use them every time we need tree work done."

"After I accepted the proposed job estimate United Tree Service came within a couple of days and completed the job on time and within the estimated cost. Also, this company is very good at clean up; all the tree and plant debris was removed. I especially liked that they had the tools needed to do the job right. We were happy with the results and would recommend this service to any homeowner or company needing a tree cutting service."

"This is a very efficient husband and wife team. They not only did a good job on my deck but sealed my driveway, cleaned my roof an gutters and took down some small, dead trees....all in one day and at a reasonable price. I plan to use them again when I have external maintenance jobs."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Carefully pruning small roots no thicker than three inches in diameter won’t harm the tree. However, cutting larger roots may impact the tree's stability and nutrient absorption. It's advisable to consult an arborist or tree care professional to evaluate the root's size, the tree's health, and the potential impact of cutting. Proper tree pruning techniques and timing can minimize damage, but larger root removal may necessitate expert guidance to avoid compromising the tree's overall health and stability.

In nature, there are many things that can cause a tree to die, including diseases, insects, and natural disasters such as fires or droughts. Non-natural methods of killing a tree include herbicides or manual intervention, such as cutting it down. Consult a tree removal professional about your options for naturally killing a tree.

Trees that flower in the spring—like dogwood, cherry, magnolia, and pear—should not be pruned during the winter. These spring-flowering plants grow buds on old growth, so you’ll actually remove what would’ve been gorgeous flowering foliage. Instead, wait to prune until right after they bloom, when the flowers fade.

Some trees will bounce back just fine, and others will struggle and possibly die. Evergreens, for instance, have a very difficult time recovering after droughts and usually die after periods of extreme dryness. Usually, you’ll have to just wait and see—if the drought occurs in wintertime, it’s possible that your tree will recover during the gentler springtime.

Yes, many services include stump grinding to eliminate tripping hazards and improve aesthetics.
