"I would highly recommend LCRG Enterprises. Izryal has been absolutely tremendous in helping me with both of my properties in central Florida. One property had discolored water, and after a chlorination system was installed, it became instantly better. Izryal still comes by personally each month for service to the system. The other property received a water conditioning system that drastically softened my water. It has been a wonderful enhancement to the house. They have been a fantastic company to work with and I will absolutely be utilizing their services again on my next house."

"Very professional team. Showed up when they said they would and ON time. They even "tweaked" the pump thing and didn't charge for coming or the tweaking. As it turns out there is just so much iron in my water they installed a new "iron / sulphur" device. I have great pressure and clean water now! Thank you JJ!"

"Great product information and sales pitch by local Victory First manager Anthony and price was very reasonable in comparison to other companies that came. Also, upon calling Anthony that I decided to purchase their water softener/filter, they were promptly here the next day and installed. We had the pleasure of having Jose install the system exactly where we wanted. Great job! The next phase is how well the system works. So far, so good. Thanks Victory! PS Only thing I would suggest would be to consider giving military discount to Veterans."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

Drinking hard water is not known to have any negative health impacts. Using hard water can lead to dry skin and hair, and the minerals in hard water can build up in pipes, faucets, and appliances. Hard water is more of a threat to your plumbing than it is to your health.

The main difference between a water softener and a water filter is what they remove from the water. A water softener is specifically designed to remove hard minerals, while a filter removes a wider range of contaminants above a certain size, such as bacteria and other impurities. If your primary goal is to remove minerals, a softener is the best choice. If you want to remove various contaminants for safety or taste, a filter is more suitable. Filters are also typically less expensive to install. Depending on your water supply's specific issues, you may need to install both systems for comprehensive treatment.

Routine maintenance involves recharging the resin bed with salt or potassium, cleaning components, and periodic inspection.

There are several things that can shorten the life of a water softener. Homes with very hard water may have to replace the unit sooner because the water softener works harder to filter out the hard minerals. High water usage and infrequent maintenance can also put more strain on a water softener.

A water softener is a worthwhile investment if you live in an area with hard water. While hard water is safe to drink, it contains minerals like calcium and magnesium that can cause significant problems over time. These minerals build up inside pipes, reducing water flow and eventually corroding the plumbing system, which can lead to leaks and a shortened lifespan. Hard water also damages fixtures and appliances, potentially resulting in costly repairs. Additionally, it makes soaps and detergents less effective, meaning you'll use more product to get things clean. By installing a water softener, you can prevent these issues. The initial investment is often recouped through long-term savings, including lower energy bills, reduced appliance and plumbing maintenance, and spending less on soap and cleaning supplies. Other benefits include cleaner linens, dishes, and clothing, as well as softer water that is gentler on your skin and hair. In some areas, a water softener can also increase your home's value, making it a valuable long-term investment.
