John (of John Anderson Building Contractor (JAB)) showed up as scheduled for the initial visit and spent a lot of time with us, making some great recommendations on how the different siding materials would integrate into the existing home look and how we might save some money in our approach. We settled on James Hardie siding for the three gable areas and Heidi promptly got us a detailed quote which we found to be very fair. Before JAB started, our reroof (by another contractor) identified some other areas needing residing. Again, the quote we got from Heidi was fair and prompt. JAB started and completed the residing on schedule - zero issues. Before the painting was scheduled, and because everything had gone so smoothly, we elected to close in with new siding two windows above our main entrance. Again, quoted and completed as promised and with zero issues. JAB was enjoyable to work with and John and Heidi remained engaged from initial contact thru completion of painting, which also happened on schedule. We are very happy with our decision to use JAB, that we added work scope to the initial project, and with the outcome. Throughout this engagement, it was clear to us that John and Heidi are client-focused and go out of their way to ensure everything JAB does is done right and as promised. "The process went SO smooth!!! We started with a "meet and greet" where Shingle Masters visited my home to assess my roof and provide a quote. They explained the process in terms I understood, gave me options for roofing shingles, and gave me time to review all information without any pressure. They took time to answer all of my questions to be sure I felt comfortable moving forward. Once the crew started, the majority of the work was done in a day, and the remaining days were spent with final touches. Ensuring our stucco was repaired (AND PAINTED) where needed. They made improvements on weak design areas in the structure of our roof as opposed to just replacing shingles. Everyone I interacted with, from the office to the crew on site where extremely nice and professional. It's hard to find a company to trust with such a large project and from the "meet and greet" I had with Shingle Masters, I knew I was making the right choice to work with them. ".We had high expectations after the initial interview and we were happy to know that it was a family business. The brothers were nice and worked hard. They covered everything and tried to cut down on the mess. They did a good job of removing damaged areas and taking care of water damaged areas. Not sure about their expertise with mold, or if it was a communication on their part Fortunately we hired another company to evaluate the levels of mold problems (from the water leak) before, during and after the remediation. These independent lab results not only assisted with getting good results from Greg Henry, Inc., but also with dealing with the insurance company. We stayed in a motel at different times during this process, returning when we were told that the mold was gone. The lab test showed otherwise, so the cleaning process started again, as did our motel stay. We questioned the strength of the replacement areas around kitchen windows, (due to termite damage), and wondered how this would still fit with our hurricane protection system.
<br /> We had other professionals give their opinion. No overall agreement. We went with our gut feeling and did have another company do additional work there. We hired another company to do the remodeling.

"Farshad and his helper arrived on time and did an amazing job of cutting down the vent to fit a tight space. They had previously cut and installed a wooden beam for me on the Lanai, so I knew they very well, they proved to be skillful carpenters. They cut the wood off the neck of the chimney vent very accurately so they were so exact with their measurements that they were able to place it exactly 1 1/2 inches above the medallion and center it perfectly. The metal plate that came with the vent did not fit the area properly. It would have interfered with the Lumadome lighting fixture. So they solved the problem by cutting the metal plate back and drilling new holes in it to customize it to fit. They were very careful to protect the medallion and new cabinetry while positioning and securing it to the ceiling and wall. The exhaust fan and light weigh 76 pounds. Even as heavy as it was, they took special care to ensure it looked good in that location. I am so happy I chose Mr. Honey-Do for this job. I will definitely be using them for future projects. They are skillful carpenters.
