We called NIck at Home Res-Q who we found on the Hub. He sent MIke over to fix our crooked TV mount that another company installed. He had it fixed in 10 minutes and we are very happy and will be calling them for any future projects. We highly recommend Home Res-Q

I hired them because the good reviews. They did the gutters at my home and all the gutters unions and corners are done poorly, they are ugly, with a los of screws and not straight lines, not a good wool at all. I had called several timen and they told ma that the owner will call me bu he never did. I don’t recommend the at all.

The tub they installed leaked due to not installing properly. I had to find a company that would drill holes in the tub and pump foam. The glass shower tub is installed improperly and is in a danger to use.

Thank you [Member Name Removed] for leaving your review. We completed a Bathroom Remodel for you in 2016 and it is recorded with the Pasco County Building Department Record 898290. With this remodel, and per the State of Florida Building Code Requirement, a Certified Plumber was sub-contracted to complete your valve replacement and tub installation. The installation was done according to manufacturer specifications and passed inspection by the certified building inspector who signed off on your permit. The frameless glass is also installed by a sub-contractor who specializes in those parts and installations and again, the frameless glass was passed by the inspector as he inspected & signed off on your completed permit. Nick went to your home in person in 2018, discussed your concern and took photos of your tub for the plumbing installer, plumbing supplier, and manufacturer. All parties were contacted and given those photos of your concern as well. It was deemed, even by the manufacturer that the issue was not related to installation or manufacturer defect. We offered suggestions to replace the tub in 2018; however, you were not interested in replacing the product, only monetary compensation. Nick again attended your home this year to discuss your concerns. He reviewed that your tub had been glazed due to you hiring your new person to drill holes and foam insulate your tub, which is not recommended per manufacturer specifications. When Nick asked why you never contacted our office again about your concerns, your responded with "Why bother." We contacted the fabricator who you spoke with and the fabricator stated that nothing was wrong with the installation and your glass simply needed maintenance of the plastic cushions on the hardware, which is normal within 4-years of regular use. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback; however, your request for full reimbursement of the tub and frameless glass is not feasible 4-years after installation.

I contacted the company several times to obtain an estimate that was supposedly completed. I called and sent emails and was promised I would receive their estimate. After one week without an estimate I hired another company. Home Res Q has no control over it's employees

They did have to reschedule but that was weather related and they were there the following day as promised. The crew did an amazing job and took their time to get it right. The gutters look sturdy and the appropriate size and a huge improvement over what I had previously. It has not rained yet but I feel certain they will address some of the water issues I have had near my house. I would recommend this company.

I called for an estimate. Told the office lady exactly what I needed done. They were small jobs around the home. Nick, the owner came by after waiting for a week to get an appt estimate. He looked around and said they would charge me $65 an hour and he knew another handyman who could do it cheaper and texted that guy my info. Nick said if this guy named Mark Kenyon couldn't do it, Nick would TRY to come by on a Saturday or somethin (his words). He left and I had a couple texts from this Mark guy and a phone call. He said he'd try to get by Wed, Thu or Fri for an estimate. What the heck I thought, cant commit to an actual day??? So I texted again about coming out for confirmation of a day he said he'd be there Thursday after I got home from work. This Mark Kenyon NEVER called OR came by. What a couple of irresponsible business owners!!! Not only did they NOT want the business, Nick fluffing it off on some other irresponsible handyman to make it seem like he was really doing me some kind of favor, they wasted my time and energy for nothing! If I wanted someone else, I wouldnt of called Home Resque. And I paid a lot more for the previous handyman I used than $65 an hour and he gouged my door, so not using him again! How do they stay in business??! Horrible! If you want the RUN AROUND AND YOUR TIME WASTED call these two business owners. They won't disappoint!!

We have had several previous customers use [Name Removed] for such repairs as you requested with great satisfaction & rave reviews. Nick attended your home, explained our hourly rate per man par day and noted that it would be beneficial for you to attempt reaching out to Mr. [Member Name Removed] for your repairs to be completed within your budget. Nick gave you [Name Removed] phone number and mentioned that if he is unable to assist we could speak again (i.e. call us back) to see about getting you a price and possibly having your repairs completed on a Saturday with our service crew. This is the first we have heard from you since that meeting date at your home on the 12th of March. I am sorry to hear that you were unable to reach or gain a home visit from [Name Removed]. He is a good Christian gentleman and would be devastated to hear that he missed an opportunity to work with a perspective customer. Additionally, he would be even more upset reading such reviews about himself & his company. Since he does not have these avenues set up to receive these reviews, we will be sure to relay your opinions to him.

Through Angie's List, we requested an estimate for gutter installation. We received a date and time from Home Res-Q. THEY called us to reschedule date and time, which was agreed upon. Estimator was supposed to be here @ 9am this morning. NO SHOW, NO CALL. We called the office after waiting 45 minutes and were told he was running late and about 20 minutes out. We continued to wait. At 11:15am, WE called the office again and were told estimator had a medical problem. Neither the estimator, nor his office ever called us to keep us informed. In this day of cell phones, we find this to be totally unacceptable and horrible customer service.

I am giving Home ResQ an overall rating of D. Considering the cost I’ve incurred fixing their work, the amount of time I’ve spent dealing with it, and the irresponsibility of the owner, a D is awfully generous. Home ResQ installed gutters on our one story home for $1200. The gutters, which were hung over the front of the house, look crooked and sloppy. To the company’s credit, the crew was sent back out to look at the problem, though it took more than a month before they returned. They raised the corner of the gutter about one-half inch higher, but it still looks as crooked as before. Even worse though, I am very unhappy that they put up the wrong color of gutters. The project manager and I agreed that the gutters would be the color of the trim (off-white) and the downspouts would be the color of the walls. The gutters they installed are tan and nothing close to the trim color as promised by the project manager. When the work was completed, I registered my complaints about these problems. I paid the company out of good faith expecting that an honest business would stand behind the promises of their employees. Clearly, my trust was misplaced. I spoke with the owner to ask him to make some accommodation for their error. He kept our money and refused to do anything about the problem of the color. He would not take any responsibility for the error. We had to spend an additional $900 to have the gutters painted so they match the trim. That about doubles the cost of the project! I do want to acknowledge the crew chief who, on their return, fixed an end cap which was not a problem of their making. He was the ONLY person from Home ResQ who said “I’m sorry.” Hopefully this review helps you with your vendor selection. You can do better than Home ResQ.

Mike and his crew showed up on time and fixed the fascia, the gutters and the pool enclosure. There was a lot of small jobs and rotted wood that Mike saw, after he opened everything up, that were unanticipated. He fixed everything and did not charge extra for the added work. It was so refreshing to not have nickel and dime expenses added to the final bill. I noticed that some of Home ResQ’s customers gave them poor ratings because they took longer than expected to finish the work. They did take one day longer than they said, but it had also rained every day for the past two weeks. So, I’m not going penalize them for it. Also, as I said, there was a lot of unexpected work necessary to correct the problems. In my humble opinion, these folks are the real deal. They gave an honest estimate before work began and they were meticulous with the repairs. I have no reservations in recommending this company.

The prior owner installed Super Gutters on the roof, between the facia and the pool enclosure. Unfortunately, they were previously installed poorly. Leaves constantly settled between the pool enclosure and the roof, which, over the course of a couple of years, started to pull the fascia and the gutters off the trusses. The damage was becoming severe, so I needed someone to fix it as soon as possible.

It went very well. They were working while I was away at work. I got notes from the workers and they always kept it clean.

There were two jobs that I hired them for. One was the bathroom where they replaced the floor in the shower, removed some bumpouts in the wall and put in a clear glass walk-through door. The second thing they did was work in the kitchen. They installed a new faucet, countertop and performed work on the backsplash.

I called 8 or 9 contractors for bids. Nick showed up on time for the estimate. We had a great conversation, he took measurements and said he would get an estimate to me. Within a week he sent an estimate. The estimate wasn't the least or most expensive. I hired them and made my expectations very clear. The workers were very patient and were able to answer all my questions. It was a great process, even though we made a change towards the end of the project. They handled the changes well and did not get frustrated. The project exceeded everybody's expectations. This is a building with about 130 people and everyone is so very impressed.

Mike from Home-Res-Que was prompt, courteous, and very professional. He did an excellent job on screening a difficult porch enclosure. He left the jobsite clean and double checked his work. It is so nice to have work done by a responsible professional.

Took 3 weeks to complete. Granted we had some areas requiring additional work butwhen you show up at 11am and leave at 3 it's hard to keep a good timeline. Nick and his wife were horrible to work with. I suggest getting everyhing in writing up front and sign EVERYTHING in front of the owner. Demand copies signed by both parties. Watch them closely. Not to be trusted. I'll never call on them again. In fact I'm having to call anothet company to fix their issues. Good luck if you hire them . Also read all of thier reviews not just mine.

Thank you for leaving a review Mr W. Of all the years we have been in business in the Tampa Bay area, we have never encountered a client such as your nature. We did everything for your home improvement that was requested, including obtaining financing for your financial needs. The contract (fascia replacement) was completed with an outline and the full linear footage of the repairs. EVERYTHING, including a work authorization form was given to you upfront. You agreed to all the terms via email and with the initial deposit request from the financing company. Things went well during most of the installation process, even with a full week of severe thunderstorm interruption. We continuously worked with your required schedule with your short notice of days & times of your availability. You had one change order for additional linear footage of repaired fascia which you hand-signed with our installers at your home. Upon completion of the fascia repair, you disputed your invoice for the additional change order amount, even though the payment was previously authorized and arranged through the financing company, but you disputed that as well. You continued to accuse our company of forgery of your own signature to the change order. You continued to scream at our office staff (yes, the wife you are referring to) that you never even signed a contract so you could pay as little or even nothing if you so chose. You called our office line multiple times a day to simply yell at our office staff reminding her that you were not going to pay anything although the payment had already been authorized with your consent with the financing company, you text and called the company owner several times a day to yell expletives then suddenly hang-up. After a couple days of this phone behavior, you threatened to come to our office in Hudson from your Palm Harbor home to 'handle this.' Your threats of injury to our staff and your relentless accusations of forgery and theft required our office to contact the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office. We made a report with a deputy about your behavior and threats. Our office staff became so scared that they had to keep all office doors locked in fear of your presence and threats of injury. Upon making our police report, we were quickly notified that your behavior was of the norm with many others too. We were notified of your criminal record, including your current status on the registered sexual offenders list. Even after our report was made, you continued with your threats of violence and injury. We made every attempt to speak with you rationally, but you simply continued with your threats and accusations. In the end, you were unable to dispute any charges and your forgery claim was false since it actually was your hand written signature. We hope that you are calling a roofer to fix your ill-conditioned roof which was the major contributor to your necessary repairs. We have warned many contractors of your nature and manner of business as well.

The finish product was ok, but while installing the siding in the back side of the house, they perforated an air conditioning line which in turn caused the AC to lose all its freon, and they never mentioned it, so by the time the AC repairman finished repairing the system it had cost me over $2,000.00. The owner of Home ResQ told me he was not liable because the AC lines were inside the wall and they should have been on the outside and because of that, his liability insurance would not pay for the damage, even thou the house was built like that. I was stuck with over $2,000.00 in AC repairs and he even called me unethical for even asking him to pay for the damage his workers did. I will never ever use these people again and anyone considering using them, beware! If they damage your house you may be stuck with the resulting repair.

Thank you for your review Mr. [Member Name Removed]. We offered to send our referred AC Repair Company out to your home as soon as the incident took place. However, you chose to contact your own company for the repairs. Your repair man himself said that our installers were not to blame due to the hidden defect of the AC line which was not originally installed per FL State Code requirements and without recorded permits. This incident would've happened to any hired contractor during your siding installation. The $2,000.00 repair you paid to your AC personnel was to run the AC line per those correct codes. In the end however, you withheld the complete amount of $2,000.00 from your final bill holding our company accountable regardless of what your AC repair person, our liability insurance, and our owner stated about the unforeseen & hidden AC line. We fulfilled our contract without any hold backs on your end, even after your necessary AC repair was completed. We are glad to hear that you are satisfied with the final project and we hope you enjoy the exterior improvements of your home for many years!
