We finally bought our home in the area of Coral Gables. It’s a property of 2000 sqf more or less that features hardwood floors everywhere. As you can imagine, we wanted to remodel a little bit before moving into the house, so we set up a budget for painting, remodeling the kitchen, and of course fixing the floors that seemed over 100 years old. We contacted Mr. Martinez through Angie’s List because we have used this website before and we have had pleasant experiences with the services offered by the contractors registered here. We were very impressed with Martinez Wood Floors’ website and the pictures of jobs they have done before, so of course they were the ones we wanted to work in our house. We sent them a message and they replied right away asking for more information about the floors and a phone number to arrange a visit. They came on time and previously called to let us know that they were on their way. Properly dress and with vast knowledge they measure the house and explained everything that needed to be done to repair and leave those floors looking like new. We liked the energy and the level of compromise they put in their work. We did not have to look anywhere else, they were the ones we were looking for. The other important factor was the price; we did not want to go cheap but we also did not want to invest a fortune on the floors. Right on the spot, their prices are very good. They sent us the estimate that same day via email, very sophisticated and explaining everything the customer needs to know. We went ahead and booked them. They arrived at the time we had scheduled with all the tools to do the job. They repaired and sanded the floors at an incredible speed. Everything was very professional and they made sure we liked what they were doing. The owner closely supervised the job. When the floors were ready to be stained, they did some samples for us to choose the color we liked. They did an amazing job! When we got back to the house to review everything, we were flipped by the way the floors looked. All perfect like brand new. They are skilled craftsmen and pay attention to details. After we had paid them everything, we decided to change the baseboards in the house and we had no idea where to choose from, so we called Mr. Martinez to ask him for suggestions. The next day, he brought several samples of baseboards and helped us make the choice. They installed all the baseboards in the house and the cuts were perfect. They have a vast experience on hardwood floors and know what the customer wants and expects from them. We are very happy with them."

"We were worried working with a contractor long distance. We live in Illinois but our condo we wanted remodeled is on Key Largo.  Our worries were alleviated by Eric's diligent monitoring of the work's progress and keeping in frequent contact with us. Eric was able to not only keep us updated but provide us with choices of materials throughout the job. His advice was invaluable as we picked color combinations and various styles. Eric provided us with internet links to look at the materials and compare the different products. Eric even obtained samples and put the samples into photo layouts so we could see how the colors went together. The end result was remarkable! We could not be happier with how our kitchen and baths were transformed. The rental agent who handles our property was so impressed with the results he plans to recommend Project Masters to other owners who are considering remodeling. The price was not the lowest of the estimates we obtained but was fair.  I have always found that you get what you pay for - what we got was a remarkably well done job, unusual attention to detail, and the job was completed on schedule! The last point is especially important because it allowed us to return our unit to the rental pool as quickly as possible. We highly recommend Project Masters and are already planning some additional work with them for our condo.

"He was super professional and aims to please. I was so worried that I would have to move furniture- he makes everything happen and makes the process a breeze! "It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"She was fine. We were working long distance and communication took place via phone and email. I would not ever hire someone long distance again for design work unless I see something on their website that is exactly what I like. She was very responsive though and she provided us with pictures of sample furniture and physical designs. I gave her a 'B' because she didn’t take a lot of time to customize the plan to our style. I expected her to adapt to our style, but instead she tried to make our living room fit her style. She seems to have a look that is her style and we actually asked her re-do the plan a few times before we got something usable. In the end, she is very good at what she does and she is very professional, but her design style doesn’t fit our way of living."
