"I reached out to CMF after reading positive reviews here and consulting 2 other local remediation companies. Their approach was decidedly different, even from the very first interaction. After explaining a bit about my personal health issues and current mold situation, Linda spent a great deal of time detailing their approach to remediation and personal experience with mold illness. Gary came out 2 days later to inspect the home briefly and relayed his own experience, even challenging some of my own initial thoughts and concerns. While I was skeptical at first, I appreciated the candidness and it was clearly backed by personal experience and case studies which were provided along with the estimate 2 days later. After reading the material and speaking further with Linda, we decided to move forward. The remediation was scheduled within 1 week (a 2-day process) and the crew arrived promptly, received quick instruction and got right to work. The containment areas were blocked and floors were protected throughout the entire process. The cleanliness of the crew was notable and their drywall work–including matching a knockdown texture on the ceiling–was impeccable. The HVAC and wall remediations were completed as planned. After attempting to clean one of the water damaged areas, it was determined that it was safest to remove the drywall and remediate as needed, which was done on the second day. A chlorine dioxide fogging of the entire house was completed overnight and the bleachy smell that we were warned of cleared quickly, leaving a light, clean smell throughout the house. I chose to fog my car as well, which took just 15 minutes. Samples were taken on the second day and test results provided a few days later, showing minimal mold spores and a successful remediation. Information on specific air filters was provided for future reference and they installed the first one along with the job. Everyone comes to mold remediation for different reasons. What I appreciated most about Linda and Gary's approach was that there was no fear mongering or price gouging and that experience-based facts and studies are provided upfront along with prompt answers to questions as needed. It was a very no-nonsense process from start to finish and their crews are full service, handling the remediation as well as any final wall repairs afterwards. I would highly recommend CMF for anyone looking for quality remediation work, done efficiently for an honest price."
