"My roof is 15 years long of and was looking very bad, the shingles were a beige color. The roof was black. Shawn came out and gave a fair price to soft wash the roof. He set up a time and the crew was there on time and did a great job. He followed up several days later to make sure all was good. I would definitely recommend Precision Wash!!!"

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

For pressure washing a driveway, a PSI (pounds per square inch) between 2,000 and 3,000 is recommended for both concrete and asphalt surfaces. A pressure of 3,000 PSI is ideal for deep cleaning without causing damage, effectively removing debris, dirt stains, and even oil spills. If your pressure washer has a lower PSI rating, you can still use it, but the cleaning process will take longer. For a more efficient and even clean, consider using a surface cleaner attachment.

No. In spite of its identical chemical makeup, sodium bicarbonate manufactured for blasting purposes has a particular type and size of particles that differs from grocery store baking soda. In addition, this method would not be cost effective because you would need several boxes of baking soda to equal one blast-sized bag of medium.

Yes, it is safe to use a pressure washer on your house, but the water pressure is very powerful. If you’re not careful, it can put a hole in your wall or cause injuries to yourself or others. But there are several pressure washing tips you can follow to pressure wash safely, including wearing safety gear at all times.

It is possible to pressure wash your deck, but it’s usually best to leave the work to a professional for two main reasons. First, power washers are expensive, and you can avoid high upfront costs by hiring a deck washing pro instead. Second, you must be careful to use the correct setting to avoid damaging your deck material. You can only clean soft woods like pine with a wide spray and a low pressure; otherwise, the water will leave unpleasant marks on your deck. Hard woods, composite material, and metal can stand up to increasingly higher water pressures.

If you don’t use the right PSI setting for your fence’s material, then yes, pressure washing can ruin your fence. Specifically, if you use a PSI that's too powerful, you may permanently damage a fence. Pressure washers can also remove paint from fences, though this can be a great thing if you’re looking to restore an old wood fence.
