"Rainscape is without doubt the most responsive, knowledgeable, professional irrigation company I have ever dealt with. I had not heard of them before I began searching for a company who could solve my problem. I will use them for all irrigation services and highly recommend them. Sarah was great to work with on scheduling and Rad was the best; called to estimate time of arrival, which was earlier than scheduled, to my delight, and saw the job through to the end. Their price was very reasonable, lower than a previous estimate I had received."

"CPL was true to their slogan- honest, professional and affordable. Steven was a great project manager, communication was excellent and work was completed as promised. We had tree removal and pruning as well as an irrigation upgrade. They took the time to walk us through the completed work and clean up all dirt and debris. We are very pleased."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Bermuda grass may be drought-resistant, but it still needs to be watered once or twice a week. The suggested amount of water Bermuda grass needs varies from season to season. Bermuda grass needs about 1 inch of water a week in summer, fall, and winter; it needs up to ¾ inch in spring.

Spring or early fall presents ideal conditions—cooler temperatures with consistent rainfall support hydration and growth.

Whether you’re putting down fresh seed or reseeding, there are a few things to keep in mind when seeding your lawn. Be sure to choose the correct seed for your climate, seed at the right time of year, and water two to three times a day for the first week. Generally, Dudley recommends seeding in spring and fall as it is usually cooler and rainier.

Routine lawn care costs between $50 and $250 per service, with an average of around $100. Most homeowners need one service per week through the spring and summer, and many switch to snow removal services in the winter. The price you’ll pay will depend on a few different factors:

  • Size of your lawn

  • Complexity of your lawn layout and obstructions

  • Requested services

  • Home’s location

  • How quickly your grass grows

Aerating a lawn before seeding it or adding new grass seed is a smart decision. By loosening up compact soil and allowing it to take in more air and water, your seeds will have an easier time establishing roots and growing. Aerating beforehand also means your seeds will have better contact with the soil, so more of your seeds have a chance to germinate. If you do plan to aerate your lawn before seeding, aerate about two days before you plan to start seeding.
