"What a mistake I made in hiring Elcon. Their estimate was 25% more than my other estimate from a licensed well-reviewed electrician, but I went with Elcon because I thought hiring a large company would help ensure things went smoothly, efficiently and give me some peace of mind. Unfortunately, the result was just the opposite. There were two fairly simple jobs. The first was to install an outlet on the opposite side of drywall where there is already a switch. The electrician took out the switch where you can clearly see the other side of the wall yet he still cut right in front of the stud exposing over 4 inches of stud. Why he didn’t use a stud finder or drill a small hole first before cutting completely baffles me. He did fess up to it immediately and patched it, but never even apologized. I had to match/buy paint to match the wall and cover the patch. Next he installed a non-GFI outlet in a laundry room which is against NEC code. When I informed him that the outlet was not to code, he said their estimator didn’t put a GFI on the quote. Yet I specifically requested a GFI outlet in my email to them - both in writing AND in a photo of the job. Why neither their estimator nor their electrician followed NEC code was concerning, but he did switch the outlet eventually. The other job was to install an outdoor wired box which was clearly titled as such on the quote. When I showed the electrician where the box was to be installed, he said he didn’t have a box with him. How he did not have one of only two fixtures needed for the job is beyond me. Also, instead of going to get the box before starting the job, he did it after the wires were threaded and exposed. He was gone for 40 minutes when there is a Lowes right next door to me. If it had rained, all of my entire pool wiring (which he wired up to) would have gotten wet. I paid him in full and contacted their office via email to explain what happened. Their office manager did apologize, but her unhelpful solution to my wasted time and extra money I had spent to paint was to schedule more time with me so their estimator could “spot check” the electrician’s work. Now, not only does their lack of trust in their own electrician make me worry about the completed install, but this would have been the third time I had to take time away from work and for their convenience. This is because instead of using the detailed request and photos I sent them of the job, the estimator still wanted to see it in person. And when the estimator arrived, he asked questions that were already in my request and took the same photos I already sent. When I finally pointed out that it was all in my request and photos, he then looked and was surprised it was all already there. Thankfully, I only scheduled Elcon for two of the four jobs they estimated for me. I was going to schedule those at a later date but after this experience, I decided to hire another company for the remaining jobs and will be sure to have them check all of Elcon’s work."

"These days it is almost impossible to find a company like Elekron Electric that goes above and beyond to exceed its customers expectations. From the beginning I was most impressed with Rodrigo’s honesty, professionalism and knowledge. After completing a full inspection of my home and listening attentively to what I felt was needed. Rodrigo presented a detailed estimate with an upfront cost breakdown of everything that he could do repair my outdated electrical system. All communications from emails to calls, received a prompt response no matter what the concern or question. On my day of install techs: James, Nick, Alex and Onay came out to replace the panel, meter, pipes and wiring. They were all punctual, polite, clean and explained everything that was being done in terms that I could understand. Every member of the Elekron team showed professionalism with a willingness to pitch in and get the job done correctly. In the end they stayed onsite just to make sure there were no issues, and everything worked as promised. I was happy that the we were able to run the air conditioner and heater without shorting out the entire electrical system. The dryer and the stove could be use at the same time with ease. It was a breath of fresh air to get such a high caliber of service and true accountability from a contractor working inside of my home. My electrical system is now up to code and passed inspection with no delays! Overall, I feel that Rodrigo and his staff delivered everything as promised. He showed up when he said he would, kept me informed throughout this entire process, quoted reasonable rates, and finished the job on time with no excuses. The work is top quality, and I would absolutely rehire Elekron anytime electrical services are required."

"I contacted Mr. Sparky on behalf of my girlfriend to fix a simple issue with her water heater, which just needed a breaker replaced. Instead, the technician upsold her on replacing her entire electrical panel, every outlet in the house, and multiple smoke detectors. While a few receptacles may have needed replacement, that was not the original issue, and she ended up paying over $1,000 for nine outlets and two smoke alarms. They also tried to push a full panel upgrade that was not necessary, quoting nearly $3,000 total. She trusted their word because she is not familiar with electrical work, and they clearly took advantage of that. This felt predatory and dishonest. If you are calling on behalf of someone who may not be technically savvy? like an elderly parent or partner? be very cautious. I would not recommend Mr. Sparky."

"I initially left a positive review, but after using the sauna, I discovered that the electrical installation was done incorrectly and unsafely. Despite paying $2,250, the contractor reused 10-gauge wire and a 30-amp breaker, even though the sauna requires a 60-amp breaker and 6-gauge wire (clearly labeled on the heater). This creates a serious fire hazard and violates basic safety standards. When I asked for it to be corrected, I was told it would cost me another $950 ? despite the fact that the unsafe setup was their responsibility. I now cannot safely use the sauna until the work is redone, and I?ve lost time and use of a product I paid a premium for. Be very cautious before hiring this company. What looks like a good job on the surface may not be safe or up to code."

"Mister Sparky is supposed to be an Electrical Franchise in the State of Florida. But, what they are is an "ORGANIZED CRIME Group" operating to defraud people from multiple offices throughout the state of Florida. This is NOT the case of 1 individual Contractor working without a license. My request to Angie's was for a license Electrical Contractor to have entered an Application for an Electrical Permit in the city of Miami Lakes, Florida where I live. A job that other local individual Licensed Electricians had quoted me $800-$900 dollars. But, I choose Mister Sparky because of being a Franchise group, I thought they would have been more reputable and professional and I paid them in full $4,152 on the day they came to my home. Jean, the electrician who came to my home and took my money on Friday August 8, told me they would enter the Permit Application into the city of Miami Lakes in 3 days on Monday 11, 2025. Since then, I have called numerous times to multiple phone number and NO one has called me back, including Bruce Howard Fort, Jr the person holding an Electrical Contractors License showing on the signed contract."
