Customers say: True professional

"I am very happy with the job Lux Interiors And Landscape Design Co. performed while redecorating my home. Anita is great at her job. She made multiple positive suggestions that worked out well. Anita made great use of each area of my home, each room having a distinct feeling. Anita also has a good eye for furnishings and decor."

"I found Lowell and his team to be exceptioanlly professional.  He bid each aspect of the project which allowed me to pay "draws" as each segment was complete.  There were no surprises with the company and every detail was attended to.

His talent in custom cabinetry is outstanding.  We were able to use the "nooks and crannys" to their most efficient use.  The built in sofa/daybed is an absolute piece of art!  The floating entertainment center was custom built and designed to fit a 55" tv, all the componets that come with a tv, and beautiful shelving for decorative use.  This also is a piece of art.

My master bathroom was designed in Canada by a VERY modern company...this too floats on the wall and has lots of accent lighting and glass.  His installation took two days...it was complicated....but he did a beautiful job and it is a conversational topic when my friends and family visit.

His vision in design also helped me bring the floor to ceiling "1960's" master bedroom closet into the milenium.  I have more storage now than I need and  I even have an "owner's closet" that I can secure if I should every rent this out.

In all the bedrooms we redesigned the closets to be more efficient, including the third bedroom that houses the new air handler and water heater...his brilliant idea was to build a closet that attaches to the walls with just 4 screws...it can easily be removed for contractors to perform any work necessary on the equipment without damaging the walls or closet!...this has all ready proven to be fantastic, since I also had to replace the air conditioning just after renovation was complete!

My new hurricane windows are georgeous and quiet...My new front door is another piece of art! -- no need to worry if a storm approaches!

Overall, he is the best!  We communicated from Maryland where I currently live throughout the entire project...we even exchanged pictures of the progress!

I highly recommend Lowell and Genius Interior Design.  Total professionalism from start to finish and all details were complete.  He will remain a friend and contractor and I will be happy to recommend him and provide references to whoever requests one.

Thanks Lowell, you really are the best!"

"I got a deal from Berger about their table pad and just in time for my new dining room set. I didn't have time to set the template due to a new baby in the house. A few months later, they still honored my deal! WOW! I sent it in and they made the pad pretty quick. Shipping was fine and the fit was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone! Truly a good company to work with. A++"

"I would recommend Benjamin and his crew without hesitation. They did an outstanding job of painting the interior & exterior of my home. Paint Works was prompt presenting the estimate which detailed the scope of the work to be done, starting the job on time and finishing exactly as stated. During the 2 1/2 days they were here the entire crew was very professional and courteous, working together to do necessary repairs, painting and cleaning up well beyond my expectations. I was very happy that I chose to go with Paint Works and I am sure you will be too."

FAQs for interior design and decorating projects in Indiantown, FL

Most interior designers have at least a four-year degree, if not an advanced degree in interior design. Additionally, many states require interior designers to be licensed. If your state does not require licensing, interior designers can take a licensing exam with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Overall, licensing requirements vary from state to state, but most licenses require certain education levels and experience to qualify. To check the qualifications of your interior designer, use Angi’s state licensing tool.

The difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator is that the interior decorator focuses on the space’s colors, furniture, art, and finishes. An interior designer goes beyond that to plan and execute layouts, structural changes, and overall functionality in addition to aesthetics that the decorator manages. We recommend hiring an interior designer for major remodeling projects and hiring an interior decorator to establish or enhance your home’s interior style.

On average, hiring an interior designer costs about $8,200, ranging from $200 to $65,000, depending on where you live, the size of your home, and the type of decor. The total price tag of interior design services is based on whether they provide consultation and implementation as well as any specialty design services, such as home staging or digital design mock-ups. Residential interior designers typically charge an hourly rate of $50 to $200 per hour, or up to $500 per hour in areas with high demand.

Hiring an interior designer is often worth the investment, especially for larger projects beyond DIY interior design and project management skills. However, the decision to hire an interior designer depends on your budget and the size of the project. Some benefits of hiring an interior designer include:

  • Realizing the best layout and decor for optimal functionality of the space for your taste, budget, and lifestyle

  • Managing your project to keep the job on track and within budget

  • Assistance with home staging ahead of home sale

  • Serving as a point of contact for contractors

  • Accessing discounts from local suppliers

Before hiring an interior designer, ask a few questions to better understand how they work, what’s expected of you, and what they promise to deliver.

  • How long will the project take to complete?

  • What type of services do you offer?

  • Can you provide a project estimate?

  • Do you work with subcontractors?

  • Are you licensed or certified in this state?

  • Do you have a portfolio of previous work I can review?

  • May I contact your customer references?

  • How do you handle change orders?

  • How do you handle payment?
