- Pavers PlusPrior to beginning the project I met with the owners, Reid and Tonya Allen. He drew out what we had talked about, incorporating the important features my wife and I wanted and also made very helpful suggestions based on his experience and cost savings. The major time factor was a 7 week wait-time on getting the pavers from Tremron. Once the pavers arrived things started quickly and went at a good pace. Many times we have had workers who only come to the job site 3 days a week while they do other projects the remaining two days. This was not the case, Reid and Tonya kept the pace of the project going virtually every day. They worked well together as a team, and could not have been more helpful doing things like obtaining County permits when needed to keep the ball rolling. We did make some changes during the course of the project that increased the work and the cost. Prior to beginning the additional work, the cost was estimated and communicated so there were no surprises at the end. We were so pleased with Pavers Plus that we have asked them to do a back deck project at our house as well. I know they have pictures of our driveway in their "scrap book" and if you get a chance to see it, you will be amazed at the before and after pictures. I would give them my highest recommendation, we are very pleased

- GOETTLING MASONRYVan Goettling Masonry was the prime subcontractor on a 584 addition to my home. They were the best subs on this project. They did all the masonry: footers, concrete slab, concrete block walls and brick. Their work was beautiful. They always showed up when promised and I often felt like all I need to do was get the other subs out of their way and these guys would motor! This addition had huge windows requiring extremely long lintels (two 9' windows and one 12' window). They also had to cut penetrations through ~14" of concrete block and brick in the existing structure. This also required some masonry work and lintels over the doorway. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat

- M & M MasonryThe block work was pretty good, but not as good as I hoped for. I was used to much better block work years ago. I am very particular about quality work - my own and others. Their work did get good complements from other professionals who saw it completed. The contractor who did the stucco on it said it was the best he'd ever seen. The concrete patio slab looks good, but I had to correct some of their formwork and earth work before they poured it. They didn't always work on the days we scheduled, but the work did get done without long delays. There were never any problems with cost, and they worked hard to do what I asked. I've seen their work at other places in recent years, so I'm surprised that nobody has reviewed them on Angie's list before

"My house was built in 1958 and when I bought it other than the home inspection the chimney was never cleaned. So for my peace of mind I started looking into getting it done. I found Chimney Keeper on angie's list and they had great reviews and a deal for angie's list members. I called and booked a time they called the day of and confirmed the appt and asked if they could arrive early which was not a problem. He explained the whole process and one guy got up on the roof to inspect and sweep and the other man came inside and vacuumed and cleaned the fireplace. Thankfully we got a clean bill of health no major issues and now I have piece of mind when we go to use it this year.....if it ever gets cold enough :) Would definitely would recommend and hire again.
