  • Frahm's Misc Services LLC
Excellent work and customer service! This is a very personable and friendly team that goes the extra mile. They were very thorough in correcting a gate that others said would have to be completely redone, but in fact only needed some small adjustments. They did a great job replacing a broken post and getting the sagging fence back in place. As well as repairing random pickets. Great work and fair pricing. Quick to get the job done. I will definitely call them when I need the whole fence replaced

The office manager Ruby has been responsive throughout the process. The crew (Steve and Harrison) definitely knew their craft and were highly professional. The final product is beautiful. I am so glad that I took a chance at this company, which is still small and new. I want to support small businesses, who are honest and do good work. I will hire this company again and recommend it to my friends and neighbors. Thank you very much

They are the best! With covid and supply chain issues, Theresa kept us in the loop on the order. Then they came out outside of normal business hours to get the job done! I cannot say enough about how great they were. If only other companies would take a lesson from them!!!!!!

Excellent. Installers were on time, worked diligently and did a very nice job. They cleaned up the yard when complete and installed everything professionally. Oh, and their price was both fair and competitive with other bids.

  • Carlisle Fence & Sons LLC
Carlisle Fence & Sons came highly recommended by all our neighbors. I called him shortly after Christmas and he came over to quote a fence for us within 24 hours. From there we put down a deposit and was on his schedule within 2 weeks. I was throughly impressed with his professionalism, his punctuality and his honesty. We live in a small town and it can be incredibly difficult to get any company to give us a call back, let alone come out and do a job and finish it! He was very meticulous and had great ideas for how to handle difficult parts of our backyard. Our yard is rather oddly shaped and he curved the fence line so everything looked great from the road. We are so so pleased with our finished fence! I will always recommend Carlisle Fence & Sons for anyone's fencing needs. I can't say enough how happy we are with the final result

  • Carlisle Fence & Sons LLC
First fence and gate job: Completed under the Father and Son. Excellent work and no issue with the quality years down the road. Second fence and gate job for a different section: Completed by the Son only due to Father having passed away. This one has had constant problems related to a decreased quality of work with the Son. The gate has been re-hung twice and still will not open or close fully (they stopped trying to fix it). The fence has always had boards that were not attached correctly because they didn’t drive the screws at the right place. But it also has had continuous boards popping off because the screws aren’t holding. And many of the boards have completely cracked in half. None of these problems have been present on the original fence work with the Father’s quality work. THE LAST STRAW: One of the posts they used snapped in half causing the fence to sag in one section. I had the Son out to have it repaired. He quoted me a price and said he could get to it in about 2 weeks. The time came and went and went and went. I reached out to him repeatedly to find out a date with no response. Finally several months later I catch him on the phone and HE TELLS ME THAT HE DIDN’T LIKE THE QUOTE HE GAVE ME AND SO DIDN’T WANT TO DO THE REPAIR AND THAT I SHOULD FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE JOB. I let him know that I expected him to still do a repair on his own work and not pass it off on someone else to have to be accountable for. He agreed and said he would do it at his next available opening, but now it has been several months again with no word

    Fencing FAQ

    1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

    2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

    3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

    4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

    5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

    6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
