Customers say: Super punctual

"They came as promised and cleaned out tanks that were full to the top. Good thing our toilets got clogged and that made us look into why. House is only 4 yrs old but I guess with 5 people here, things got backed up. They did a great job in cleaning septic."

"To start I am from Miami Fl. and usually the services there are really bad most of the times, when I was looking for the septic tank cleaning company in cape coral I start thinking well maybe the services here are the same as miami fl, for my surprise when I did the request for the quote by e-mail in less than 10 minutes they call back to ask me how they can help me, I explain about the cleaning to my septic tank, and at the same time I start thinking well this is going to take awhile for the service, but I was so wrong when they told me in less than an hour the truck will be there for the service, the operator was very professional and educated person, he did the job fast and very clean, awesome company and service. Thank you very much"

Jacob Hemed is a fair and honest man.  He placed great emphasis on providing me with the materials I selected, and, I believe, accurately advised me on the good points/short comings of my selections.  He is readily accessible as is his immediate support staff.  When one subcontractor made several glaring errors, Mr. Hemed had these mistakes rectified forthwith.  My wife and I were away during the time much of this work was accomplished and we were very pleased upon our return. Yes, I intend to hire Atlas General Contractors to finish the rest of the house.

"Mr McCullers and his workers are very polite, professional and punctual. I first found this company via internet search and sent Mr McCullers an email on Sunday, Dec 29. He responded very quickly the same day. I took several pictures of the Electric Panel Box and Hot Water Tank that needed to be removed. He provided an Estimate for me to sign online on Tuesday, Dec 31, which included the purchase of a Tank-Less Water System that I wanted. He ordered the Tank-Less Water Heater, and when it came in he contacted me to do the Installation The job was begun on Monday, Dec 9, and only because my Electric Box took a different Breaker which he had to order, the job was completed Dec 10. My new system works perfectly! He provided Excellent Service and Quality Work!!"

"I would definitely recommend them.  We were out of town and came home and had a message from the water company we had a water leak.  I called them, found out it was our responsibility.  They came out the same day.  They could not locate the leak and recommended I contact a leak detection company and I did, but they put me on the schedule.  Even the leak detection company had issues.  For some reason, a landscaper decided to plant an oak tree less than 3 feet from our water line.
To make a long story short, I would definitely recommend them.  They had issues finding the leak, stopped work and told me what I needed to do.  After finding where the leak was, still has issues, but the owner made it right.
I have no doubt in the future I will use them and have no  issues recommending them to others.  I am a grateful customer.
Think about it, someone comes out the same day, has issues and recommends a good suggestion, you take their advice, and you have water, less than 2 daYS.

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

A properly installed and maintained septic drain field (also known as a leach field) can last up to 50 years, though the average is around 20 years. However, factors like poor soil conditions, heavy usage, or improper maintenance can significantly shorten its lifespan to 15-20 years.

To extend the life of your drain field:

  • Schedule Regular Inspections: Have the entire septic system, including the drain field, inspected every two to five years to catch problems early.

  • Protect the Area: Avoid driving heavy vehicles or placing heavy structures over the drain field. Plant only grass or other lightweight vegetation with shallow roots over the area.

  • Maintain the Septic Tank: Proper care of the septic tank, including regular pumping and avoiding harmful chemicals, prevents strain on the drain field.

Be aware of signs of failure, such as strange odors, standing water, or unusually lush grass over the field, which indicate your system may need professional attention.

Several things can ruin a septic tank over time, including dumping harsh chemicals (like bleach and ammonia), pesticides, and paint thinners down your drain because they can kill the bacteria in your septic tank. You should also make sure to only flush waste and toilet paper in your toilet—otherwise, you could clog your system.

Certain foods are easier on your septic tank than others. Septic-safe foods include yogurt, fruit, cooked veggies, and bread because these items all break down relatively easily and can pass through your system safely. Rotten tomatoes, specifically, are actually good for your septic tank because they can increase the amount of good bacteria in the system.

A septic tank with a 1,500-gallon capacity is good for larger homes with up to 6 or 7 bedrooms. The average home can go with a smaller tank, about 1,000 gallons, which supports a home size of up to 2,500 square feet, or a home with about three bedrooms.

A gurgling toilet usually doesn’t mean that your septic tank is full. If waste can’t drain into a full septic tank, you’ll see water and sewage backing up into your fixtures, but the air that causes gurgling is a result of poor venting. You are more likely to have a clog in your vent stack or a damaged air admittance valve.
