On Sunday 8/23 the customer called and requested an emergency pump out of her septic system due to plumbing backing up in her house. We responded and pumped the tank the same day. With the afterhours emergency service charge included, the total amount for her service came to $400. Once we left the house’s plumbing functioned properly and continued to do so throughout the week. On Saturday 8/29 at 8pm the customer called our answering service requesting service due to her plumbing backing up again. We made contact with the customer and told her that it could be something as simple as clog in the line or as severe as the drainfield not taking water and that the tank would need to be pumped again or she would have to get a plumber to “snake” the line. We informed the customer that work done on the weekends or after hours would require the afterhours fee and that a plumber would be better qualified and equipped to clear the line out. The customer requested that we send a technician out at no charge on the weekend to fix her plumbing issue despite the work being done to her satisfaction a week prior. The customer’s line clogging a week after our service is not related to the service we provide. Once we pump the tank and the system is functioning properly we cannot be responsible for what the customer sends down their drain or how fast they fill up their septic tank. We strive to provide the customer with a professional service experience at a fair price. We stand behind all of our work and have no problem fixing our mistakes and correcting any issues that have been caused by the work that we have performed. We are sorry that this particular customer had a bad experience and feels that we are responsible for her line clogging but we simply are not responsible for what is done to the system by the customer after we complete our service.
