"We had chosen a rather elaborately shaped water jet cut glass and stone mosaic tile for a backsplash. Elite brought forth the best knowledge and information, answering all of our questions and giving us the comfort level we were looking for in terms of a quality installation. From the estimate process through the implementation, Ivo (the owner) and his team were top notch and professional. We couldn't be more thrilled with the results and our neighbors are completely jealous..LOL. We highly recommend Ivo and Elite Tile & Marble if you want an absolute quality installation, excellent value, and the comfort of a trustworthy, solid professional team."

"From start to finish just First Class customer service. They answered all my questions, really fast call back and scheduled my appointment quickly. Came to my home and walked through my options and gave great recommendations. The day of install was a breeze for me, my cabinets were not in the best shape due to the PREVIOUS homeowner but Blue Isle Granite identified the problem areas and addressed every single one...there arent many contractors who are willing or capable of fixing someone elses mess but BLUE ISLE GRANITE addresses them and my install looks flawless. The plumber comes in the morning to recconect the sink and disposal and then my kitchen reno is complete. The granite had to come in two parts but you cant see any seams and I have a pipe in my kitchen that could not be moved and Blue Isle Granite install incorporated it and it also looks seamless. Such a great job, great family owned business. I would recommend them without hesitation."

"Remedy Surface Care renewed our faith in great customer service, incredible workmanship, and a finished product that we are so happy about! They restored our kitchen marble as well as the marble counters in our bathrooms. We inherited marble that was never taken care off, cleaned, or sealed properly. The house was only five years old when we moved. Both Kim and Joe were fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. We highly recommend them and will continue to use them to maintain our now beautiful marble."

They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and repaired my granite countertop so flawlessly that you can’t even tell where the crack had been. Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

No, you should not put a hot pan or pot directly on a quartz countertop. While quartz is generally heat-resistant, the resin binders used in its manufacturing are sensitive to extreme heat from items exceeding 150 degrees Fahrenheit. This can damage the resin, leading to discoloration, burns, or even cracking. To prevent permanent damage, always use trivets or hot pads for hot cookware.

The frequency for sealing granite countertops depends on several factors, including the type of sealant used, the color of the granite, and how heavily the countertops are used. As a general guideline, resealing is often recommended every 12 to 18 months, but some sources suggest it could be as often as every few months or at least once a year.

The type of sealant is a major factor: water-based sealants may need reapplication every six months to a year, while more durable solvent-based sealants can last for five to 10 years. Additionally, factors like heavy kitchen traffic, frequent use of acidic cleaners, and lighter granite colors may require more frequent sealing to prevent staining.

To determine if your countertops need resealing, you can perform a simple water test. Place a few drops of water or a wet paper towel on an inconspicuous area of the granite. After 10 to 15 minutes, check the spot. If the water has beaded up, the seal is still intact. If the water has been absorbed and darkened the stone, it's time to apply a new coat of sealant. You can choose to seal the granite yourself or hire a professional to ensure it's done correctly.

A water-based, low- or no-VOC sealer is typically a good choice for marble countertops. Choose a sealant that is certified safe for contact with food when applying to kitchen countertops. For high-traffic areas, look for formulas that have heat-resistant and acid-resistant features. While there are economical and convenient spray-on sealers, they don’t coat the surface as effectively as the ones you apply with a pad or brush.

Quartzite countertops are porous, meaning that liquids can seep into the stone and stain them. You’ll need to seal them before installing and resealing annually, depending on use and stone material. Sealing will help prevent stains and etching. On the other hand, you don’t need to seal quartz and other engineered stone countertops since they aren’t porous.

You can’t change the color of the stone, but you can update granite countertops without replacing them by painting them. Because granite is a porous material, you’ll want to seal them first before painting them so that the paint doesn’t hurt the surface. This is important because you don’t want to devalue your counters by damaging the original surface; even if you don’t like the color now, you or a new homeowner may want to remove the paint someday and return them to their original color. You can also cover them with
