"Santiago was absolutely awesome in not only clearing out stumps, but also getting buried debris out of the way as well. Worked his butt off and extremely reasonable in price! Will be going back to him for other arborist needs!"

"I called them in the first place because my neighbor's insurance company threatened to hold me financially responsible in the event that any of my pine trees fell and damaged their home in a future storm if I didn't have them ALL removed. I called Johnson's Tree Svc and they explained that my trees were all healthy and there was no validity to the claim that I needed to remove any of them. I ended up removing one of them anyway (and another in a different part of my yard). I felt the cost was a little high for the first tree, but the other tree was cheap, so I felt the combination was fair. They did drive a little machine out back to carry out the logs, which dug up some of my grass plugs that were recently planted, but they were very quick and the workers were polite, professional, and cleaned up all the debris from the fallen trees."

"George, the owner reached out to me and I decided to hire his company. I had one tree completely removed and numerous other trees and shrubs trimmed. They were very professional and worked in a very efficient manner. The price was very fair. I will use this company for future projects and would highly recommend this company- We were very satisfied with the work that was done"

"These guys are family men, honest, hardworking, and knowledgeable. Did a great job as promised cutting down a 36" diameter, 60 foot tall, live oak. They were all gentlemen, gave us a reasonable price and left the site very well cleaned up. Couldn't ask for better tree cutting and removal. They are the guys you want if you don't want a hassle."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

You’ll have to balance up the cost, the value of the tree (sentimental or otherwise), and the risk factors. An experienced arborist will help you understand whether transplanting is likely to be successful. The cost and hassle of transplanting a large, well-established tree are often not worth it, especially if the species is fast-growing and easy to source. The decision depends on the age and species of the tree, the conditions in the new site location, and how careful the company is when digging out and moving the tree.

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

If you don’t trim your palm trees, you can expect several negative outcomes, including:

  • Unhealthy palm trees attract pests, diseases, and fungi

  • Dead falling fronds can cause severe injury or damage to your home, pedestrians, or cars

  • Dead palm branches are flammable and can catch fire, especially during a lightning storm

Yes, many services include stump grinding to eliminate tripping hazards and improve aesthetics.
