We are in our final stages and are so grateful to work with Mitch and his team. We can’t wait to have a finished project we call home. If it wasn’t for all the input, patience & ideas that JWB brought to the table we wouldn’t be thus far. More to come!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"I couldn?t be happier with the architectural rendering services I received from MAJ Engineering. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and exceeded all my expectations. The team took my vision and brought it to life with stunning detail and accuracy. Every rendering was crisp, realistic, and beautifully captured the essence of the design. What impressed me most was their responsiveness and commitment to quality. They listened closely to my ideas, made thoughtful suggestions, and delivered on time?even ahead of schedule. It's clear they take great pride in their work, and it absolutely shows in the final product. If you're looking for top-tier architectural rendering that blends creativity with technical excellence, MAJ Engineering is the team to go with. I?m beyond satisfied and will absolutely be working with them again!"

"With concerns for hidden structural hazards in my DIY Project to install a retractable awning to a lintel beam of my lanai, I reached out for structural engineering consultation. In reply from this impressive engineering company I received invaluable insights, cautions and generic steps, of which I was previously unaware, prompting me to immediately revise my project for substantial reduction of risk of adverse outcome and unexpected and unaffordable expense in this very limited budget undertaking. I strongly recommemd learning all you can before commencing with such a project, and look first to Tensor Engineering for consultation and for their deeper participation, as needed."

Architects questions, answered by experts

Get prepared to meet with an architect by having a clear idea of what you’re looking for, a list of questions to ask, and as many project details as you can provide. The more information you can provide and receive from a prospective architect will help you decide who to hire.

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.

Whether you’re building a new home or building an extension on your existing property, you will likely need both a structural engineer and an architect. A structural engineer will determine what loads your foundation and framing can safely handle, and an architect will draw plans according to those structural calculations to simplify the building process. You can start by contacting a structural engineer near you, as many work alongside architects and can get all of the prep work done at once.

New constructions, renovations, and interior layouts benefit from expert drafting.

A home elevator is a fantastic way to improve your home’s accessibility. Elevators allow anyone, even those who use wheelchairs or walkers, to safely move between floors within your home.

Dumbwaiters may allow you to move items up and down floors, and stair lifts can move people up and down, but elevators are the best option if you need space for people, their belongings, and/or mobility aids such as wheelchairs.

That said, home elevators cost more than other options, such as stair lifts. Consider your needs and your budget when deciding the best way to make your home more accessible to a person with a disability or a person who is aging in place.
