I had to do some leg work and get the pavers cheaper from Home Depot and stain them myself.
The workers showed up on time on the scheduled day. There was a shipment of rocks that did not show up the first day so the workers left early. They showed up the next day and nearly completed the job but they ran out of rocks. John brought more rocks at no cost to us the next day and completed the job.
"We installed a drain and applied additional gravel to the area that we were working in. Because it is gravel and what they had originally was older we can not guarantee that it will be exactly the same. We matched the gravel the best that we could. After we completed the project John Madison walked the project with the client and they were very satisfied. This is the first time that we are hearing of them being unhappy and the work was done a year ago."
Great design and presentation but terrible execution and follow up.
After he got paid it was impossible to get him to respond to issues we had with the installation and product. I even saw one of his employees doing work at a neighbors and showed him some of the issues we still had and never got a call from any one. Very disappointing for that much hard earned spent.

The crews were on time, hard-working and left the yard a bit cleaner than they found it. Their skill and craftsmanship are evident.
The materials used appear first-rate.
At the risk of sounding insincere, dealing with John Madison made my wife and I feel a bit more than just names on a work order. We felt that John and his workers actually cared about what they were doing.

Kept to schedule, installing the yard as promised. His workers were very good although occasionally not as careful as we'd like. Overall a very good experience. We'd use John Madison again.
I called John Madison to come and give us an estimate for hardscape/softscape work. He came at the appointed time, taking time to provide us with some ideas to freshen up our yard. John told us he would get back with us with a diagram, list of plants and the pricing for the job.
We were not in a time crunch and with the Christmas and New Year holiday approaching, we anticipated delays.
John laid out his plan, we agreed to it. The job was estimated at taking two full days but it actually took three full days, utilizing
a crew of four.
Four pallets of pavers were delivered prior to the job starting. The crew used exactly that amount, with no need to order more pavers. We had previously met with John at the paver distributor to select the color scheme.
The installation crew did a great job. Chandler's paver work was outstanding. It was obvious he and his crew cared about the finished product.
The end result was worth the price we paid. If you want a well designed landscape and one the neighbors will rave about, call John Madison Landscaping.
