Alex, Austin, and crew arrived promptly and began hand digging the old grass out. After that, they leveled the ground and installed the sod. Since the concrete was being poured the next day, I agreed to the first $220, but was bothered that timing meant I would have to pay twice for the assessment. After a few minutes, he said he had found one cut wire. He noticed it ran underground (about 7 feet through brush to a fixture) and said, "I don't dig for $220." That, he said, would be an all-nighter costing $1500. I declined. Plus, there was no low voltage wire on the truck, so they were unprepared for a landscape lighting job. It was a lot of money for very little."
