"We recently had 3 brand new HVAC units installed in my home. I couldn’t be happier with the results! They were professional, efficient and did an outstanding job from start to finish. The installation was smooth and they made sure everything was working perfectly before they left. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a new HVAC. Thanks again for the awesome job!"

"Patsy and team did a wonderful job with remodeling our master bathroom and updating fixtures in the quest bathroom. His estimate for labor came in under budget. Jacob and Ernesto are capable of doing any task assigned by Patsy. They removed a jacuzzi tub, stand-alone shower, tile flooring, all plumbing and electrical fixtures, and raised the vanities to 35 inch height. The pictures attached show the end result of which we are very pleased, and thankful for Patsy's patience and guidance throughout the process. We would highly recommend Patsy along with Jacob and Ernesto. They work very well together as a team."

"My heat pump which had been installed 2 years ago by FH Furr suddenly stopped working Sunday afternoon. With the heat warnings in effect, I knew I needed help, FAST! Blair arrived this morning abd diagnosed the issue and replaced the condensation pump. These new "smart" systems have more brains than some humans!! When the pump failed, it shut down the entire system. However, Blair had the old school know-how and work ethic to get my system back online and back to normal. I have seen a nice change in technicians in the last 2 years and am always pleased to have them come out and fix any issues I may have. Keep up the good work!!"

"Mike and his crew showed right on time. They took the time to understand my problem. They suggested ways to fix things and laid out a plan to get it done. They started right away and did a great job for me. I hope to use his services on other jobs around the house."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You may never need an AC recharge if there are no leaks. However, if your AC unit has a leak that cannot be patched appropriately, you’ll need an AC recharge every time the freon level drops low enough that it disrupts your system—this could be once every two to three years. It all depends on the size and frequency of the leak.

You should clean your air conditioner at least once per year, but you may need to clean your whole HVAC system (including the air ducts) more often. According to the National Air Duct Cleaners Association, you may need to clean them more frequently depending on factors like whether you smoke, have pets, or have allergies.

AC drip pans last five to 20 years, depending on the material. Plastic AC drip pans last five to 10 years, while metal pans can last over 10 years. Plastic AC drip pans are vulnerable to cracking in response to temperature changes. Metal drip pans are prone to rusting over time, which can also lead to leaks.

Yes, you can clean your air conditioner filter as a temporary fix for cleaning up dirt, but you’ll eventually need to replace it once the dust starts to accumulate. Use a vacuum with a hose attachment to clean your air filter at least once per year or more often if you have pets.

Professional HVAC installation requires licensed expertise in several areas, including electrical- and plumbing-related work. An HVAC team must know how to safely handle regulated refrigerant chemicals and the gas, oil, or propane used in furnaces and boilers. A proper HVAC installation protects your home from energy loss, fires, and even carbon monoxide leaks.
