"Williams & Associates replaced an ancient, very large old boiler in my very large house. Bruce calculated the necessary size and found a suitable boiler. He and his crew thoroughly cleared the radiators and lines before removing the old boiler and installing the new one. They checked all the radiators and added new valves as needed during a lengthy checkout. It took several days to do all the work. Throughout, Bruce explained what they were doing and why as well as recommending changes/additions to the original proposal. They were even cheerful about removing the original "Mary Jane" from the basement. I would definitely recommend them to anyone using steam heat. Great job!"

"Mr. Aitken and his assistant were perfect gentlemen. They were very aware of Covid-19 practice, putting me at ease at the onset. Mr. Aitken appeared experienced and well-informed in his skill. He asked questions and valued my input. He took the time to qualify what needed to be done, making sure I clearly understood everything. He spoke plainly, and his troubleshooting style kept him efficient in his work. I was pleasantly surprised with the pricing compared to others. I like that he confirmed his work before leaving. As far as this customer is concerned, for friendly and quality service, call on Bill Aitken Heating LLC ."

"Quick & easy. The 2-man crew arrived within the designated timeframe, assessed the length and location of my vent tube and conducted the cleaning. They were courteous and responsive, and advised that I do a dryer vent cleaning every 2 years."

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"Sears offered a quote, not an estimate, so they were the only pro that went through the process to verify what size boiler I needed. Their price was inclusive, included 7 years of service and they offered financing."

"Vista Home Improvement was contracted to resurface my decking surface and to install new railings. The company also did
some siding work as well. Overall, I was very pleased with the work and the quality of work.  Brian is very personable and was always willing to answer any and all questions I had.  From the beginning of the job to the very end Brian was extremely helpful and whether it was through phone calls, emails or in-person conversations Brian always answered my questions and concerns and
ensured all my questions were answered. Additionally, the quality of the work was outstanding. I am very much a perfectionist and really strive to have contractors perform work to perfection.  With Vista Home Improvement even my very small concerns were addressed by the company even though for 99%of the population the very small concerns would not have been noticeable.  The employees of Vista Home Improvements were top notch professionals (I mean everyone from Brian to Kim in the office to the
on site employees!!) and they also answered any questions I had during the project.  They were all very professional and did not take short cuts even when the work was going to be covered up.  The employees, including Brian, were always very punctual and very responsive! I strongly recommend this company to anyone looking to have home improvement work performed and I would definitely use this Vista Home Improvement in the future for home improvement work!! In the end the desk and siding work came out fantastic! even the railing on the desk was perfectly installed!  Brian and his crew measured the railing sections to perfection and they fit perfectly!  I have used a good number of contractors in the past to perform a variety of home improvement projects so I can honestly say through quite a bit of experience using home improvement contractors that Vista Home Improvement was the best of all of them!! To Brian, Kim and everyone at Vista Home Improvement please keep up the Great Work!!!

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

If you want to have hot water in your home and part of your plumbing system, you'll need a hot water heater. An alternative may be to heat water as you use it, such as by boiling what you need on the stove. But that's much less efficient and takes considerably longer than hooking up a water heater. Another option is to rely on appliances, such as a dishwasher or washing machine, that heat the water themselves.

Yes. In many cases, switching from an old furnace to a high-efficiency boiler can help you save money over time. You can also save money by switching from an electric boiler to a gas boiler, which costs much less compared to the energy bills an electric boil can create. Boilers are often (but not always) more efficient than furnaces, too. Then there are discounts, rebates, and incentives that can help you save on the initial costs.

While you’ll pay more upfront for a brand-new HVAC unit, you can save money in the long run. Here’s how to save on your new HVAC system:

  • When purchasing a high-efficiency system, your energy bills will be lower in the future.

  • You may be eligible for special offers from your local energy company.

  • Depending on the system, you may be eligible for HVAC rebates and tax credits.

  • Choose to replace your air conditioning unit and furnace simultaneously to save on labor and installation costs.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.

Warmed or cooled air can escape your home through drafty windows and doors. If you notice any gaps, be sure to caulk and seal them. You can also hire a local pro for an energy audit to get a list of energy-saving recommendations.

Finally, check your insulation. It can settle in over time and become less effective. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that you can save an average of 15% on heating and cooling costs (or 11% of total energy costs) by sealing leaks and making sure attics, crawl spaces, and basements have a nice layer of insulation.
