"Williams & Associates replaced an ancient, very large old boiler in my very large house. Bruce calculated the necessary size and found a suitable boiler. He and his crew thoroughly cleared the radiators and lines before removing the old boiler and installing the new one. They checked all the radiators and added new valves as needed during a lengthy checkout. It took several days to do all the work. Throughout, Bruce explained what they were doing and why as well as recommending changes/additions to the original proposal. They were even cheerful about removing the original "Mary Jane" from the basement. I would definitely recommend them to anyone using steam heat. Great job!"

"These guys do phenomenal work. I’ve hired various contractors in the past and I can honestly say that Fellowship is by far the best group of contractors I have worked with. I hired them to install a new boiler system for me and the job went as smooth as it could have possibly gone. Very professional group of guys, that exceeded expectations. I most definitely plan on working with them again in the future. Highly recommended!"

"Removed and disposed of old cast iron baseboard in kitchen (to make way for sliding patio doors) then supplied and installed copper piping & fittings to re-connect remaining baseboard. Chris and team always do a good clean job and I like the ease of doing business."

"John and his team are gems! A 15 year old tank went on Father?s Day weekend and John jumped in with excellent customer care! Limped the tank along for use till a new larger more efficient tank could be installed a few days later. No more cold showers for this busy family of 6! Thanks as always John!"

"we had many problems with a burnham high efficiency system installed in 2009. We called NEBWs and Steve came down. He is very informative, courteous and attentive to our concerns. Within a week we had a new SlantFinn boiler installed and the installation was immaculate. Very neat and organized presentation. Experts in their fields, true professionals and reasonably priced. High recommend"

"Very professional and efficient. The work was completed within a week of first contacting them and the job was finished within two hours of them arriving at our house. They were straight forward and honest about the work that actually needed to be performed and the final cost was less than what had been originally estimated over the phone. They cleaned up well and the finished installation looks excellent and is free of defects. I highly recommend this company."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Most installations take 2-5 days, including old system removal and setup.

On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.

Steam boilers require flushing at least every six to 12 months to keep them operating effectively for as long as possible. Depending on your water quality and frequency of use, you might need to do this more frequently. The flushing process helps to remove problematic buildup of sediments. While a boiler contractor near you can perform a thorough annual flush, learning how to drain the system yourself means you can do this monthly if you experience speedy mineral accumulation because of hard water.

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.

A home radiator works by using radiation and convection to transfer heat throughout your home. Electric radiators use metal to conduct heat and warm the air, which then rises to warm the room. Steam and hot water radiators work with a boiler and piping system to pump thermal energy throughout the home. Hot water radiators use a boiler to heat the water before circulating it to the radiator, while steam heating radiator systems convert the heated water to steam before circulating it out. When the water or steam cools, it travels back to the boiler to be heated again.
