"Needed failed hot water heater replaced. Campbell installed a new replacement the next day after being called. Two installers plus the business owner showed up on time and quickly made the swap. Will definitely use again for plumbing need."

"Williams & Associates installed a Buderus oil-fired boiler and stainless-steel chimney liner. Bruce's design was a significant upgrade over my 35-year-old boiler system. He clearly explained the process and installation, and he was receptive to my questions. Bruce is knowledgeable, straightforward, and responsive. The price was very fair, considering the quality of the work and other estimates I had gotten. I would not hesitate to recommend Williams & Associates."

"I am waiting to get an answer back. I was told the $99 few would be waived if I proceeded with the repairs and the plumber did the repairs and was still charged the $99 fee. Need an answer if I am getting refunded. Was charged $145."

"Kyle and Julian were awesome installers! They were prompt, respectful of our home throwing down tarps to keep the floors clean as they went in and out of the house..in the pouring rain the entire time. They answered any and all of the questions we had. We would highly recommend this company"

"Anyone that needs a clogged drain taken care of, do yourself a favor and call Honest Drain. I called at 7:45 am and the expert was at my home at 9:15 am. I was impressed with how he did such a fantastic job that is usually nasty and he left my bathroom spotless. Less than an hour later, I had my shower back. I have had other companies in the past that advertise with big promises and was disappointed. Hats off to Gianni and Honest Drain. Sincerely, W S in Providence, R I"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

No, you should avoid using liquid drain cleaners. These chemicals, often packed with sulfuric or hydrochloric acid, can wreak havoc on your pipes, causing erosion and potential leaks. They’re also dangerous to your health. If you’re dealing with a stubborn clog, manual removal or a professional plumber is your best bet. Chemical drain cleaners can often make things worse, especially if the clog stays put and the chemicals linger in your pipes.

If you notice your main water shut-off valve is leaking, try tightening the valve slightly to see if it stops the leak. If the leak persists or worsens, it’s best to contact a licensed plumber to assess and repair the valve. Using too much force or attempting a DIY repair can further damage the valve.

The most likely reason is rust. You can try using lubricant to loosen the metal components, but you’ll most likely need to call in a plumber to professionally sand down the rust without damaging the rest of your bathtub. If the rust is extensive, it might be a sign that you need to replace the plumbing.

Yes, a bigger well pump can increase water pressure—up to a point. If you currently have a well pump of 8 GPM, you might notice a pressure boost when you go up to 10 GPM. However, overshooting significantly (going up to 15 GPM for an 8 GPM home) can strain your well system and result in things like burst pipes that can decrease your water pressure and make for costly repairs.

Yes, before you can connect to a public sewer, you must gain permission from the water company near you. You'll also need to ensure that you comply with local regulations prior to connecting to a public sewer line. Apply to your local water authority by looking at their website for an application or by giving them a call to have your home ready for a seamless sewer line connection.
